The important thing to note about this story is that, even if it's all true and all of the emails are genuine, and even if it completely discredits every scientist involved and all of the work they've ever done, this does not falsify AGW theory.
That is entirely true.
On the other hand how about we don't give trillions of dollars and control of the global economy to a group of people who are proven liars.
AGW might or might not be real but so many different religions have gotten their hands into this that it's hard to know what the truth.
I would not be the least bit surprised if it turned out that the Global Climate Change Movement is nothing more than a front for certain political and social groups that are eager for any excuse they can get their hands on to advance their agenda. It's also possible that the skeptics are a front for Big Business.
The truth of human CO2 emissions' effect on climate is independent of both of those agendas. Whichever group is correct is so purely by accident.
But your memory doesn't really work like that. If you actually understand extended characters then "character 255" is a single number when it comes to your memory, not three individual digits.
Um, only if the person uses characters that can't be typed on a normal keyboard.
If the smart crooks are using any version of Windows then they can access all extended characters from their normal keyboard by holding down the ALT key and typing the character code on the numeric keypad.
I used character 255 back in the Windows 3.1 days to make directories that no one else could figure out how to get in to. (DOS had no problem but windows couldn't handle a file with that character in the name)
Understand that I spent years trying to "hear" the difference between vinyl and CDs. From a technical perspective, I cried BS in every which way. I'm a firm believer that the difference is real but not something you can hear.
The fact that you can't hear it does not make it untestable.
If vinyl really produces infra and ultra sound then these frequencies can be measured. It is also possible to construct filters that attenuate these frequencies and setup a double-blind listening test to determine if listeners report a better listening experience with and without the filter.
it would cost a tremendous amount unless you have some kind of truly unlimited data plan.
It seems that you are unaware about the recent price war going on between mobile data providers.

Six months ago, I had no use for a cell phone with a data plan. Why bother, AT&T's network sucks, and Verizon'll nickel and time you to death to re-enable the things that the phone manufacturer built in, but that Verizon paid some sweatshop a fortune to disable and replace with branded crap. I'll stick with my Verizon "It's just a phone" phone, that I used for maybe 20 minutes a month on the bare minimum plan.
I was exactly the same way until T-mobile started offering real unlimited plans for basically half the cost of the other carriers.
Now the dam has broken. Pay-per-byte data plans will be left behind just like pay-per-minute dialup ISPs.
The best way to use U-238 would be to build a fusion machine that generates neutrons at the right energy and use those neutrons to fission the uranium instead of trying to make a chain reaction.
We can build fusion machines right now that can produce enough neutrons to make a hybrid reactor practical.
You keep going back to the Depression but are we really comparing apples to apples?
That's like saying that FEMA should provide food, clothing and housing for people all the time because sometimes it is necessary after a particularly bad storm.
I'm not asserting that anything was better, just asking if spending four times the money (your number) has resulted in four times better results
Under the current system, more people are better off on average. And less people die. Less children die. Less older people die. Less laid off people die. And the same for living on the streets
How do you know? Do you just take that on faith, or do you have a source of data that shows this?
Exclude them, only count competent people who actually attempt to get help and use the resources presented to them, and the system has a fairly good track record at actually keeping people alive and moderately well feed.
What about the track record of getting those people to the point of not needing further assistance? What percentage of the total recepients are the "responsible" ones and what percentage are abusing the system?
That is entirely true.

You mean soaking the middle class.
The rich will stay rich because they will be collecting transaction fees from the climate exchanges as well as tax credits for green buisnesses.
The poor will be taken care of via transfer payments.
The middle class will pay for all of it.
It's about 60 MB.

The forgot bittorrent
Except of the parts that are flooding due to torrential rain?
He's a great speaker when he's reading sentences that someone else wrote. Listening to him speak without a teleprompter aren't nearly as impressive.
That still puts him ahead of the last president, who couldn't seem to talk with or without technological assistance.
He's not joking.
So exactly where on earth can you live where none of the following occur:
But your memory doesn't really work like that. If you actually understand extended characters then "character 255" is a single number when it comes to your memory, not three individual digits.
Your passphrase should be quite a bit longer than eight characters if you care about your key at all.

How to those people sleep at night?

I was unaware of any claim that all or part of this increase is due to government intervention.
I think your right but I'm pretty sure it isn't going to include the "files as directories" metadata storage.
Someone was building a filesystem that could do all of that naively. If only he hadn't been batshit crazy we could have had this five years ago.

Alpha emitters are far more harmful to living creatures than beta emitters or neutron emitters if that stuff gets injested.

Actually there is an impact now because local law enforcement officians are seeing that Craigslist is cutting into their bribe revenue.
I use Gentoo but decided to ditch the versioned packages and just rebuild the the live packages every week or so. It seems to be working so far.
