Being a computer engineering student and a lazy schmuck I wanted to make some extra money without having to exercise too much:) So I started writing a system to manage the customer database at dad's work. They had used a $1800 piece of software before that was full of rather silly bugs, which made me suspicious about future expensive updates. Anyway, being nice and all I changed my software for a DVD player I wanted but could not afford ATM. A few days later I heard that a customer had noticed my software and had asked questions about it. He in turn had talked to his people and so the word spread.
So what do you need (or rather what was it that made me "succesfull")?
People at work do not want bloated software when the computers are simply tools and treated like a screwdriver or solder (blasphemy). Make it simple yet easy to learn and fast to use.
It looks more like they're doing these kind of things than trying...
I wonder how many MS "bashing" (I say bashing because I think that was the "Some Sys Admins"' intention when he sent this to slashdot) E-Mails with no links that can backup the story and with a poster using hotmail as his/her account get thru the "this is news for normal people" or "this is just not weird enough" checks. Ah well, time will tell if this is a stupid joke or not.
I'm not to experienced in this field of science but what happens if we get so advanced and start using black holes as trashcans as some of you people say. What would happen to the material that actually should "go back" to earth but instead gets sucked into a black hole to become something _non-extractable_?
Yes I know we get lots of dust from space but will it be enough when every single geek has a black hole cocacola/beer trashcan?:)
Perhaps you want a universal linux distribution tool?
:)
Sorry couldn't help it...

If I have cybersex, will I loose my virginity?
;)
Uh, like using a mouse and a pointing device?
I don't think I should've taken those beers...
