In this era of global data communications, it's beyond me why there isn't a global databank containing every piece of the cultural creations of mankind.
A couple of levels of access, free for public domain content, a monthly fee for non public domain content added to your internet sub. Make the subscription a cheap all you can eat buffet and very few will bother with any other means of accessing content.
Pay copyright holders and artists a fee based on how much an item is accessed.
That's my dream anyway, I'm sure lots of holes can be shot into it.;-)
