  1. Things have never been the same since postmodernism took over. Philosophy used to be all logic and epistemology. Now it's all "mah feels".

  3. If you can't tell how ridiculous is the experimental setup in the dog park paper, you do not possess the mental capacity to teach in a university.

  4. Left and right are so demonized these days they no longer make sensible labels. The left sees everything as a struggle between victim and oppressor. The right sees everything between the civilized and the barbarian. The libertarian sees everything between freedom and control.

The best position for us to have is one from all sides.

  5. I was replying to AmiMojo. You and me are leftists. AmiMojo belongs to a group called Progressives, which is hell-bent on making commonsense people vote Trump.

  8. Try publishing in JACM, or Journal of Alagorithms, SODA, FOCS, STOC, Stacs, or the other 100 reputable venues. Don't use some money-making scammy CS venue to compare with what Boghossian did... They made it to the top ten journals in Grievance Studies.

However, I have friends from these cultures who have expressed frustration with their own cultures. To them, America is their refuge. The last frontier for the OPEN and FREE.

These people, myself included, would be very disappointed if America stops being open and free. For one, the world would become less DIVERSE.

History will help you understand what originally prompted Popper to say those things. There was a need to counter the Muhamedians, a sentiment that was also found in Russell's thoughts. Contrast Popper with Wittgenstein, and you will better see what Popper was trying to arrive at. (Hint: not postmodernism)
