Problem is, the model is a *MIRROR IMAGE* of an M4/M16. That is to say, what you see there (mag release button, ejection port, nonfunctional side of safe/semi/auto selector) should all be on the right side of the gun.
You might be writing from England, I don't know, but the part about "illegal to have a handgun in safe at your home unless you're licensed, registered, and have passed a background check" is most certainly NOT true in America.
Perhaps England has a division called "Homeland Security" as well, and that's why I'm confused?
If you get severely dehydrated, for example, mowing the lawn at noon in August for 2 hours, and you come in and chug a bunch of distilled water you can actually pass into a coma and--rarely--die.
You see, our bodies need the electrolytes in water, but in distilled water as you know, nothing is present but good ol' H2O. So you need to make sure you are drinking juices and things as well.

I'm afraid it's your limited vocabulary when combined with your bad attitude.
The same sort of thing you described has happened with guns. Most people don't realize it, but it is totally legal for a law-abiding citizen to own a fully-automatic weapon. The 1934 "National Firearms Act," however, gives the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (BATF) --then under the Treasury dept.-- the authority to collect a $200 tax everytime a machinegun is transferred to a new owner.
But.... in 1986 somehow congress was able to declare that no/new/ machineguns could be registered for civilians (gradually expanding powers...)
Now most recently, John Ashcroft has moved the BATF to the Justice dept, which, as we know, is more concerned with police-style enforcement than tax collection, the original purpose of the BATF. And indeed, this fits with the role of the BATF in the last 20 years.
Now, I'm not looking for a discussion on whether guns are good or bad (I'd love to own an automatic weapon, personally), I'm merely pointing out that if you give Congress an inch, they'll take the proverbial mile. It may happen slower, or it may happen faster, but it's better not to let them have the first taste.
And when the monies are comingled (which they are), who's to say where the money came from?
I always read everything I sign and I know better than to take out student loans at 3% and invest them at 7% (wouldn't that be nice?). But if you were trying to be helpful -- I appreciate it.
For some reason, the phrase "donating to them while simultaneously sucking at the government teat is ill-advised" gave me a tremendously hilarious mental picture and a good belly laugh.
He just wanted to take a swipe at the stereotype of "Arkansas." In reality, the investment will have paid for itself in less than 8 months and then the savings will begin.
You know, I just don't get why christian-bashers tend to be so bleeding ignorant.
I mean, when *I* make fun of someone, I make sure I'm educated enough about them that I don't sound like a total fool.
Maybe the Old King James (or "Authorized Version") was written in the language of the 1600s, but not only is there the New King James, there are plenty of modern-english translations, including those who have completely translated idioms into modern-day English idoms, which makes for much more interesting sit-down leisure-reading than the stuffy old king james version.
...and before you slashdotters jump on me and criticize my paper for suckage, keep in mind that I completed the paper and defense in the middle of an unexpected death in my immediate family.
So that explains why I didn't give two farts about cleaning up the listing for Algorithm 1, among other things...
However, I plan to expand the work in the future, so constructive criticism is welcomed:)
As a medical student with an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, I'm really pleased to see that other scientists are getting excited about the convergence of Mathematics/Compuation and molecular genetics.
First let me correct the slight error in your Ask Slashdot submission: we say that there are three nucleotide bases in an mRNA codon (not DNA codon). If you want a review of how DNA becomes RNA becomes proteins, you can check out the intro to my undergraduate thesis paper (link below).
In fact, I would encourage you to read through my paper in any case, as it may stimulate your thinking or open you up to new areas of bioinformatics research. The paper focuses mostly on a survey of analytic techniques of gene-expression microarrays, but is highly accessible to well-read / intelligent persons (it is light on technical mathematics by design).
Please let me know what you think of it (my email address should be easily inferrable from my website address), and you get a high-five from me if you can find the glaring mathematical error that I didn't get fixed before my defense.
"Are they Brazilian looking?" is a reference to the great Simpson's episode where homer is kidnapped by Brazilians, and when they get the ransom money, they look at the greenbacks, and note that they sure look like serious financial documents, and then remark something like "Hey, our money is pink and purple" "Yeah, our money sure does look gay"
Arkansas is home to the fastest growing metro area in the united states (greater NW Ark area), as well as the largest retailer in the world (Walmart), the largest Poultry company in the world (Tyson), and some of the largest trucking companies in the world.
Now, if you were looking for a bumpkin state, try Mississippi on for size.
I'm afraid the situation you're describing is what happens when you sell a stock short, not when you've purchased put options. You've also in a way (inadvertently) described how some futures situations work.
If you wish to learn more about options (which are fascinating, and the pricing of some futures on options involves Partial Differential Equations), try googling for Options Industry Council oic.org or something.
Hi, let me go ahead and clear up something that someone else was wondering, and about which you seem to be a little confused.
HIV is the Human Immunodeficiency Virus. It is the virus that causes AIDS, which is Aquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. A Syndrome, in medical parlance, is a group of symptoms that occur together. So AIDS is a condition, caused by the virus HIV.
Anyway, now on to the show. The reason HIV is so hard to destroy is that unlike most lifeforms, when it makes a copy of itself, it makes an "error" FAR more frequently than in, e.g., our cells. That is, HIV's reverse transcriptase makes an error something like 1/1000 base pairs copied, which is why we cant make a molecule to specifically attack HIV.. because it changes so much.
Theoretically it could indeed become airborne, but, as another poster suggested, I don't know if a) it already is and b) if so, or when, how many ppm / particles / whatever it will take to get someone with a normal immune system sick.
You can do anything with a math degree.
The beauty of the degree is that it trains you to THINK and SOLVE PROBLEMS and it is applicable to ANY FIELD.
I, for instance, got my undergrad degree in mathematics and then went to get an MD.

Troll. Do you have any idea how expensive it is and long it takes just test for a few chemicals?
