I've been testing Steam for months now on both my Mac and Linux CrossOver setups. (Same account on both) I have yet to see any problems with being banned. As long as you don't do anything dumb like try and log in with two machines at the same time you should be fine.
I'd like it if someone from Valve could comment on this though.
Steam does work in CrossOver, but due to the lack of DirectX 9 support, Half-Life 2 does not work yet. On the bright side, all the Half-Life 1 engine games do.
The PC game market gets a death notice about once a year for the last 20 years. Yet it lives on. All it takes is one or two 5 star titles to kick start the beast again. I think we know what those titles are this year.
I still subscribe to a few magazines. It is always good to give my geek eyes a rest from monitor refresh rates. It would be nice to see if I would have less eye problems using an LCD display.
+ Popular Mechanics/Science
I always tear through these the day the come in the mail. + PC Gamer
Still the best gaming magazine IMO. + Comic Books
I get a few titles regularly. Just good fun.
I maintain WineHQ, and if there is a problem I'd like to track it down. The site works in every browser combo I can get my grubby fingers on. It even validates at http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=www.winehq.org So, if there is a bug, it may lie with my version of PHP, or Apache.
Or another cause lies in the compression using PHP's ob_gzhandler gzip compression routine. Best to check to see if privoxy supports gzip compression.
Hmmm.. I don't think so. The Nintendo 64 and the Snes gameboy adapters worked because of the cartrige slot. Since the Gamecube is a Disc based system, I don't think Nintendo will make an adapter. They never were big fans of add-ons wired to the system.
> There are already versions of Shockwave,
FYI: There is not a version of Shockwave for Linux at this time. You are thinking of Flash.

What I think Hemos meant is Wine availble in a new skin. CodeWeavers is to Wine as Helix is to Gnome. That is how I like to think of it anyway. It wasn't a reference to skin support in Wine. If you run Wine in managed mode, your Win apps will use whatever skin your window manager supports.

The "Slashdot effect" has crushed our pipe. I spent a good part of today moving the site to a new server. Once the DNS refreshes everyone can hammer away at the site, it should be able to take it.

The link for CodeWeavers is wrong. It's www.codeweavers.com
