I've been hearing about crap like this since I was a kid. Jesus freaks here in the United States are anti-intellectual and anti-scientific. Fine, go teach your children whatever you want. The ignorant will becomes society's slaves and fools.
For me... I'll make sure those who I love learn logic, math and modern science. I know how to protect myself and the people I love. Run society into the ground if you want. Have fun!
Don't use that devil Asprin... Millions of lives have been ruined by junkies trying to "numb themselves out" with that devil Asprin. Dealers have these junkies hooked. Asprin is NOT COOL. Just say NO!
I actually think there are many good things drones could do inside the US. I wonder how many drones it would take to get a high resolution photograph every 15 minutes of every drilling, or strip mining site. Also... Highly concentrated pig and chicken farms... Oil refineries, chemical plants... To monitor activity and discharge at these sites.
I thought all this globalization was a way for the US to entice the people of other nations to freedom and democracy. I guess since this hasn't really come to pass (especially in China) the US has decided that if you can't beat em, join em.
If Google is doing this, it's not good. However, when you think about it... If a map CAN be defaced, can it be reliable? Perhaps they need some sort of moderated change system. This system need not be heavily reliant on human oversight. But for something that need be authoritative, changes should be controlled.
