um?? Netscape killed itself. It had no edge over the competiotion, if you look at the features provided by IE and Netscape you'll see IE is far better. I used to use Netscape, but then netscape stopped adding newer features, and the parse engine sucked. Ie runs faster and makes cleaner pages. Netscape is just a whiney bitch, microsoft didn't kill it, them having a sucky product killed it.
so what part is inferior? the part that detects all the hardware? the part that has a great internet browswer? The great interface? i'm not sure which part is more inferior to the linux that is 100% stable, unless of course you try to run programs on it.....

Put a 700mhz pentium next to an apple, click on netscape or whatnot on both at the same time, and watch which one open first. Now realize that waiting for an apple instead of ordering a pc and getting it the next day is proportional to the amount of time it takes each computer to start netscape. And for those who say that starting programs is no way to measure the speed of a computer your full of it. So unless you want to bubble sort really fast (integer sort), then get a PC. The neat thing about pc's is that many many people make them, so you don't have to wait for them.
