I agree completely. I had exactly the same problem here in The Netherlands with a B&W 17" CRT Studio Display.

Citing the AppleCare doc was enough to get the screen repaired for free. I'm currently typing this message with it..

With respect to Apple: I whish there was one other manufacturer putting so much attention to the design of their machine. I doubt anyone has viable alternatives?

PhD positions in bioinformatics?

On: Bioinformatics in The Economist

I have recently finished my master's degree in biomedical sciences, my thesis and traineeships being all about bioinformatics.

Now I am wondering what country and especially which institutes offer the best atmosphere to do a bioinformatics PhD well. Does anybody have advice?
