    The point was that you cannot dismiss office 2003 against 2003 for the lack of new features.

    That those features are overpriced, proprietary-locking, useless, crap, whatever is something different, but they do exists, pretending that 'just the colors are different, there's no new feature' is pure ms-bashing without looking at the facts.

    I was just listing feature enhancement, to point the fact that if you want to criticize this 400$ price, you have to be honest and cite the new features.

    At least take conclusion from real facts.

    Well, the first paragraph of the 'parent' is :
    " Having "the features of Office 97 at best" is also how I would describe office 2003."

    Agreed, the second is about word and collaborative features (sharepoint) applies to it.

    For the other word-specific features enhancement, there's also a new 'page view' to read document the reviewing feature has been dramatically improve by 2000 (IIRC) and is especially useful when working with other ppl, and web/html edition has also been improved, but that I cannot be 100% sure.

    Oh, yeah, also new XML features, smart tags, ... are new.

    I'm not an MS-fan, but you're at little bit too MS-bashing.

    Since office 97 :

    Outlook : spam filter, IM integration, better OST folders

    and a whole oneote application ?

    and the integration of visio ?

    there are also all the sharepoint-related feature (I don't use them, sO I can't tell)

    Just because you or your mother are/is not using a feature doesn't imply this feature doesn't exist or is worthless for everyone else.

    just put nagios on top of your usual tools (logcheck, tripwire), set alerts by some SMS gateway and use the WAP interface.

    Chances are your current mobile phone can handle WAP and, for the work, a lightweight laptop handy (1-1.5 kg) is much better, IMHO, than any PDA/Phone.

    Also, if it's a small problem, the WAP interface will let you discover it in a few clicks.

    Not exactly, they learn FP (as in False Positive) from their recent blackmail actions.

    As a result, the 'international' (mostly european based) version of the RIAA if IFPI.

    But you are right for the 4 letters limitation.

    Questioning is not a crime, but you have to be very very precautious.

    Normally, all VPN solutions should include the possibility to enforce a firewall policy on the client side.

    Some of them also allow to enforce the use of an up to date antivirus ...

    Well, on my desk (or under), I have a sparc with ECC, SCSI and it can host an optionnal professional video board.
    Some other are also SMP.

    MySQL AB has been informed of this vulnerability on Wed, 6 Aug 2003.

    The issue was confirmed and fixed in the developpment tree the next day.

    [side note: the MySQL developpment team is not only very reactive, the guys
    are also extremely nice]

    that's the point of those new pentium-M 'banias' : it is possible to cool them passively !

    the lowest voltage version output something like 6W, which is equivalent to via's c3 thermal output. While the 'high powered' ones, equivalent in performance to 2.4 GHz P4, are in the low 20W (at full speed). Something which can be easily cooled.

    This ITX solution presented has same advantages as the soekris : compact flash board, mini-pci slot, pci slot, gigabit ethernet, normal ethernet. and the performances are >>>

    Instead of using it just as a router, you can use it as a server and eventual second processor if you cluster it with your main pc.

    Reception in houses is done since ... well ... before I was able to even afford a cell phone ;)

    Now, you can even go trough train or car tunnels without fearing to be disconnected.

    But CDMA is much better than GSM and will rule the world !!!
