WOW I hope to get my hands on this. I remember thinking things could not get any better than the Timless demo. That was a good time for me, as I was too young to drive, old enough to have mind altering substances and a rockin 1 meg vga card hooked up to the ole 386. And when I was inspired by one of those demo's, I'd just crank up Scream Tracker!
After I finished up all the mandatory books (Slackware Unleashed, Linux in a nutshell). I found that Think Unix by Jon Lasser helped finally put everything into perspective. I would recommend it to anyone who is past learning the raw basics and is ready to learn things from a more conceptual feel.
I work in a fairly large isp/managed service provider and we have had customers hire several different auditors that I have gotten to deal with firsthand.
1. ISS - Did a GREAT job. Very detailed, very honest, and quite courteous.
2. TruSecure - HORRIBLE. Their audit's were nothing more than manufactured scan reports with their logo on it. The 'reports' were also very inaccurate.
I was booted out of public school for writing a speech on the effects of computers, capitalism and american pop culture. They did not appreciate the comparisons I made. I learned that in a middle class suburban school, they did not apprecaite the use of such words as 'Money Hungry Nihilists', 'Indian Slaughtering Fathers'.
My parents then put me in home school. I finished High School at my own pace, and actually *gasp* learned the material. Since then I have attended college, and now I am a slave, just like the people I wrote about. But at least I know where my mind is..
