The scientists will report on the prototype on Thursday at the Optical Fiber Communication Conference in Los Angeles. IBM aims to improve on the technology for its commercialization in the next decade with the collaboration of manufacturing partners.
let them improve it first and then they should give a price. Until one is already set which i highly doubt.
Unless theres a technology or something which detects whos calling; driver or passenger, then our best bet to to use that jammer in a car unfortunately. Sometimes drastic measures are the best ones until a better alternative can be found.
I see lots of bad mojo with this device but I for one would like to see this device implemented in cars. Sure its a very small percentage but the numbers are there ( risk of an accident with a cell phone or other distracting devices). If this jammer is used in a car, no more cell phone, no more blackberry. That means your 100% concentrated on the road and not partly on your cell phone. I don't know about cell phone usage everywhere in the world but here in Québec this is getting very problematic, even police officers are using a cell phone in their car.
Well this is an ironic situation. Good thing he had good intentions lol. I find it funny that since this guy hacked github and they fixed it. But seriously, shouldn't people hire hackers like him to make projects move faster ? l Sincerely believe that if they "work" together, projects would move faster for sure lol.
For now, since the warp drive has a serious side effect ( 0.0 ). I rather put my money on the VASIMR prototype for now until "further research is done". Nasa has over 100 guys working on this project with AAR right now. So this one is very promising
I really surprised that AT&T listened to its 5% users that complained regarding that situation. Most companies like these have a higher threshold and, I'm sorry but, they don't really give a crap about them too until the complaints gets to a certain level. In the end, I'm happy that they finally listened but something tells me it's not free and/or not without any concequences...I hope I'm wrong on this one.
This wikipedia page about Wireless electronic devices and health states that EMF are influencing the environment (but not people). But with this twist, I wonder if it will have any additional effect...or any effect. I personnaly feel concern on this subject. I try to limit my use on emf devices around me; to my knowledge of course.
I can see some good use with this technology with more research of course. I may go too far but think about the good use. You could impliment this technology in homes, appartement to cut the noise level. Lots of people are complaining in apparments and homes because tenants are too loud (sex ?, yelling at kids ?). With this, no more noise complaints. Same thing with houses, impliment a similar device near your home to cut the traffic noise, this way your home value won't go down. I know lots of houses looses value because of traffic noise.
Noise pollution is not something to avoid or underestimate, this is a big in cities. Lots of cities are building big walls near highway to cut the noise. With more research I guess this could be used and could save some millions and probably lots of structure maintenance since it could be a small (smaller than those walls anyway).
Autoit is a good scripting language. Not too hard yet not to easy since you gotta know, like every other language, what you do. I know almost nothing in programming and I found AutoIT very fun and very good scripting language. Well very good is a wierd term for me since I didn't use other scripting language. From what I read on their forums and their pdf tutorials (available on their forums) is it helps you learn good basic programming behavior from the start.
Replace that extinguisher grenades with grenades, TnT or anything explosive and voila, you got terminator version .01 alpha. Sorry had to say that lol

let the porn transfer begin lol.
The op never mentionned it was a bug. Just a flaw. There is a big difference between bug and flaw.
fyi Hull is in UK...not in US lol

Why all the bad press about this technology.
