  1. Dont stop on Major Networks Suing To Stop Free Streaming · · Score: 1

I say let them do it. Let them stop airing it. It will hurt people for sure but it'll hurt the company more than people that's for sure. This situation is a big debate already and it's not about to finish. I think companies need to shift their business model to a more modern one. It seems like lots of businesses are still hanging on to old tradition even if it doesn't work well today.

Entangled qubits might be able to form the basis of a quantum network with zero latency over any distance, which would make it rather useful for the intergalactic Galnet that will eventually succeed the internet.

Not entirely true. Lots of games have "fixed" content like you say. Only the write or story teller has that reason, motive or intention and it's is right to do so. I won't start to question is reason to do so but rather try to understand it instead. I won't feel grossed out by it because I will try to understand it to it's fullest.

A good example, even if it has nothing to do with gays, is the sexual scenes in the tv series Game of thrones.I can understand lots of people either feel grossed out of offended by it. Those reasons could go with either the fact there is actually sexual scenes in that tv series or the fact that women were depicted like sexual objects...well the reasons could be enormous so I will spare the list. I don't feel offended by it and if someone is in my entourage, I will explain the whole situation to them. Most of the time, they understand and they let go of the axe and stop hitting me with it.

I tried various things like using firefox and chromes, ie tab but it really wont work. It really needs those pesky API's from IE. Once I can find an alternative about this service which is on the way right now I will remove (hide let say) IE on every PC's at my work.

LMAO, what are you talking about ? I never stated any number besides the 191b$ and the 33.1%. Also public or private for me makes no difference because in the end, the citizen pays that...especially the public part as in private most citizen wont pay...afaik. Also to note, the province of Quebec as a debt of 10b this year and keeps going up. The governement decide NOT to attack that debt and do nothing. Also, the heath care system is what's costing the most in our provincial budget.

If the USA wants a public health care system like Canada please do, but I assure you and confirm to you that will will cost you an arm and a leg to pay for that system no matter who tells you. Be afraid of people who tells you it won't cost alot...that is not true. It won't be free. In fact, whatever number the governement tells you about the cost of that system, it will increase over time.

My comment posted here is to inform the US citizen that since our health care system cost too much for our needs and it's out of control and currently still out of control and nothing is done to "fix" or improve it's status.

  7. Canadian health insurance plan on Does Higher Health Care Spending Lead To Better Patient Outcomes? · · Score: 1
Health care spending to reach $192 billion this year

That public insurance plan your gov wants will not be free. No matter what the cost is in the first couple of years it will continue to go up year by year. Like it says in that page, in 2010 the cost of that insurance plan was around 191 billion. I don't know exactly what will the cost be in the USA but it will be higher that's for sure.

Right now the health sector is worth around 33.1% of our provincial budget. It started smaller of course but over time, the budget for the healthcare system grew bigger and bigger and there's still no limit today. In the last provincial budget, nothing is done to take care of our deficit. This also includes the health care system.

Second thing is I feel fine after 40 hours and this means I can still work more than 40 hours but this is not for everyone I agree. Personally this depends on your type of jobs as certain jobs are very demanding. Also theres the income tax situation. If you do overhours, in my province anyway, you pay more income tax so in my situation it's not worth it so i don't work more than 42 hours because of that. If it wasn't that case, i would glady work more than 40. But because this article is based on that 1909 text, i don't fully agree with it. But it has some good facts though.
