So is that article correct, or the replies to it saying otherwise referring to Birkhoff's Theory (moves at speed of light) or things like this, or this
"Second, observations of some neutron star binaries (with at least one member a pulsar) show decaying orbits. The rates of decay very nicely match the hypothesis that energy is being lost from the systems in the form of gravitational radiation, as predicted by GR (some hard working scientists got Nobels for this). Since gravity travels at c in GR, these results provide indirect support for GR and the speed of gravity being c (this is explained in more detail in the Baez page)."

I'm not sure you can arrogantly just go "wrong, period" on this one. In that case you at least need to show why the other theories aren't true.

It's funny, but you make a good point in that it doesn't really depend on if you're on the first page or not, but on if you're on the first X matches or not, and with an advantage if that happens to be the first page. At least that's how it is to me. Say a search engine had triple the amount of matches per page as Google. I'm not sure it would be an as big advantage as it is on Google now.

Yes, I was just thinking this might be search engine competition at work. Seems a bit of too much of a coincidence that MS introduce their web search with local searches just days before Google introduce theirs. However, I believe MS is actually doing a better job at local searching, since it had working news search for my country, which news.google.com lacks, and also a yellow pages feature that worked very well for me too. Meanwhile, Google's thing don't really even work internationally.

That's basically the major cause of instability for Windows XP that I can see today. Fortunately, there are WHQL certified drivers so it became less of an issue when those were introduced. Just saying that with Apple hardware, you're staying away from a heck of a lot of problems in the formula of giving drivers direct hardware acccess for decent perfomance while keeping the whole thing stable.
