I know the MX is more cost effective, but I really want to know if they're planing on releasing a more usefull onboard videocard(the mx is far from 8.1 complient) on one of these babies. If they had a geforce4 4200 on there I think might seriously consider buying one(my system is over due for an upgrade), but with that bottleneck on the system its not even an option.
just another reason why I love nintendo... it shouldn't be too hard to reading to this and come to the conclusion MS just wanted to get a larger share of the market(and franchises) and then reap the $$$$ and at the heart of it could really ever give a shit about gaming(other then the $$$).
I wonder if more studies like this could in a way greatly effect todays educational system. maybe one that promotes learning through experimentation where teachers become in a way guides and not prison guards force feeding children information whipping them into emotionless drones (yeah there are exceptions but for the most part I'm sure many ppl can relate to this).
trust me of what I've seen of the game q3 can't compare. www.ign.com has better screen caps of UT2003 the ones in the article here are rather poor. also of what I've seen the animations are top notch(q3's seem rather poor compared to these) and it even includes dismemberment.
this should have a large boost for the ogg community... there is already atleast one protable that does/will support ogg and now a major game developer has adopted it in their game.. its slowly getting more and more main stream. the next year for ogg should look interesting.
Anyways its just seems like lucas is floundering here... focusing on too much of what audiences he wants to bring in and not on making an actual heart(though some would argue this point moot due to the theories of Lucas being tangibly heartless) backed film, but maybe my cynicism has just gotten the best of me.. buhahaha no it hasn't haha.. Well maybe I'll be supprised and might actually like this cash cow. Only time will tell
btw: "FP" or some shit like that *sarcasm* yahooo!! */sarcasm*
umm yes they do offer a model with a dvd player and I believe it goes for about $300.. not sure if it will launch at the same time but they will offer it.
It has a metalic silver finish and an added lcd screen and various dvd related buttons.
are you always this ignorant?
rambus is great for high bandwidth activities (games, servers, etc) and its a good match for the p4s(noothe best cpu but still, the P4 also has a high bandwidth that rambus fits in well with)
if only intel followed there original p4 designed by the enginers, which hopefully with be created in the upcomming northwhatever(don't know the exact spelling of it so i won't type it)
nothing else during that time could match rambuses bandwidth and yes it was high priced(partly due to low yields but also due to the rambus royalties that frankly suck)
rambus is still a viable memory(sounds like there might be qrdram around the corner)
"all the areas where pc2100 ddr thrashes it "
ddr doesn't really squash anything at this point in time its performance ganes are small( single digit percents) and not untill ddr2(in about 6 months) and 3(atleast a year) are released it isn't that big of a deal
oh and by the way if "all the areas where pc2100 ddr thrashes it" defines all the memory benchmarks that rambus wins over ddr then yes (notice i didn't say all there are a few scattered here and there)
thank you good bye
rambus never had a "lame product" it has shown its pros and cons but was never worthless. the only thing that was "lame" about rambus was their marketing stratagy
There was an article a few years(?) back in either Popular Science or Mechanics that even had an artist's rendering of the plain. I remember them saying something about a 747 being a mobile command center in the sky and it having various defense radio jammers etc... and even the nose mounted laser...
Kind of cool to see it all starting to come together.

I second that... one of the mod's a little too pro-apple?
