Why can the government just reintroduce it again a few months later?

Because when the corporations own the governments, they can do whatever they damn well want. It's like the U.S. Constitution says: "We the Corporations of the United States..." And all the other countries are under U.S. law, so the Constitution applies to them too.

No, there are good physical reasons why NASA facilities are located as close as we can get them within the U.S. to the equator. If I were to reform NASA, I wouldn't move the facilities--I would move them AWAY from Congress (who have so hopelessly politicized NASA that the agency has for 40 years been WAY more of a contractor funnel for Congressional pork than a research agency). Make them an independent agency with hardcore ethics laws to prevent either the President or Congress from influencing their duties, and maybe they could get some actual work done without worrying about which Congressman wants some graft this week.

For a school, Open Office is fine. It's not like they're going to be doing the really advanced shit anyway (pretty sure most students aren't going to be writing VB scripts). The only (possible) problem is that they'll have a hard time adapting to MS Office once they enter the workforce or college. But the two are functionally similar enough that I doubt that would matter much either.

You could have done that just as easily with Windows computers. Hell, I know because I did it once myself. I once got a local company to agree to donate their old computers to my school for nothing. They already came with Windows licenses too (even had a nice sticker with the activation code right on them). Total cost $0.

Yes, except Medicare is open to all seniors over 65. His "replacement" is open to everyone too--everyone who can pay the difference between their voucher and what their insurance actually costs, that is:

If the chosen plan costs more than the premium-support [i.e., their voucher], the senior would pay the difference.

Oh, got a pre-existing medical condition that makes your insurance cost more than your voucher? Tough luck, grandma.
