Installed SuSE10.0 some time ago on my ibm T43. Eventhough i have no accesspoint my self, i detected at least three open networks. Probably my neighbours or so. Defining default gateway; and off i go! No hacking, no drivers rebuilding or so, just another 5Mb effective for free.. So now i can download suse 10.1 on two machines at the same time;-))

You will have TWO options:
1) buy a new computer
2) sent your computer up to Redmond and let them do the upgrade (at a small fee ofcource!
Pick your choise!
But you will not have to reboot for the upgrade, they state
You'll get your daily share of normal reboots during work after the upgrade ofcourse....
And what was ON those VDT's? I can have a fair guess...
In all the documentation i write, i concequently put in a note, saying that ANY exposure to M$ products can and will harm your health and social life. So they are warned again.
(on the other hand, the symptoms are familiar, and i am writing this at 2:40 am, while none of the above mentioned products are present here;-)
Language should not be a huge problem, at least not for the job.
I work for a company, spreaded all over europe and it's official language is english.
Even though it's HQ and most of the offices are in France.

Just by turning it at a few thousand RPM, I get 45 amps out at 14 volts...
A few thousands rpm's?? Good grief!
