I would ask the same question. But I already know a better solution. If you are going to use a OS that requires you pay for software... Just ask your friend joe blo down the street to burn a copy of it for you. I don't think ive paid for ANY software all my life accept 4 Linux Quake3 for my Sager. When I got Solaris 8, I just had a copy of it burned. Even though where I work I have to send in a order for the latest version, updates etc.... it just asked the supervisor 4 a copy.

Bah, forget it. It runs under wine. Corel tried this with Corel Offfice 2000. And when I tried to run it, it gave me wine runtime errors then crashed. Either they port it to linux, or im not running it at all. I don't really want to run a emulation program just to use a renderer. I have wine on here, but its for running stuff like FlashStudio, and stuff that our peabrain friends at macromedia have made. Any of you feel the same way about running programs that should be ported directly instead of using emulation?

I have recently learned the art of the Bonsai Kitten taught to me by my grandfather Tai Mai Choo. This method has allowed me to develop many of my own.

My primary method is what I call the Spider Kitten. In this method, the kittens' feet are tied with four nylon strings. The end of each string is streched to a point in which 4 small 5 foot high posts reside. There are four posts total; for each leg. The kittens' paws are tied to each of these posts for a period of 3 weeks. However, you must tighten the strings a little each day to avoid the legs from growing above the kittens' heads'. Proper feeding is required. After the 3 week period is up, the kitten is set free.

We have sucess fully grown kittens with legs up to 48 inches per leg. The cat can now almost stand face to face with it's master. It is a very painless process for the kitten. And I hope these cats will be adored and loved in your home.

WARNING: These kittens are NOT recommended to people with large quantaties of furniture. This is due to the fact that these kittens have an unusual way of marking their territory with their claws.

We also recommend that you keep these kittens on a leash, for the tend to run very fast, and are hard to catch.

This is the ONLY thing Linux needs to make it past M$ in the next few years. Yes it would take time, probably about 2-5 years. Depending on demand. First before I get into this. Lets define what windows REALLY is. Windows is a GUI stuck on DOS. It is not a real OS ( no flame here, this is just a fact ). All 9x-16bit M$ OSs are stuck on command.com, making it NOT a true OS, but a GUI. Now what IF, someone where to take somthing like the windows GUI, stick it on Linux itself, and make it able to run M$ binarys? What would you get? Probably the most widelyy used OS in the world. Make it OpenSource, and then charge people $50 for it commercialy, where the user pays for support, and commercial programs, and in the mainstream, keeping the kernel itself, open source, and free. THAT my friends is what will drive M$ into the ground.

Or better yet. Remember that commercial with the guy that grabs his monitor, and throws it out the window. And then it says "If only everything was as dependable as a chevy" ???

Do the same thing. But instead of chevy, have a penguin dance across a blue screen after that, and make him say: "Got Linux?".
