Like what would the internet be like without AOL? For many AOL was/is "the" internet. Until they learned that they were mistaken. Learned they didn't have to go through all the hoops, learned they could "do it" themselves. People investigate, learn, adjust, and then are better off. gunnar.
Seems to me, That is is at least the second trailer from Rise of the Machines. Anyone have a link to that first one? I think the ending was better. Guns, blondes, shiny things, computers that don't work. Life is good. gunnar.

And Road & Track did quite a nifty write up for one of their April issues in the late 70's, early 80's. I got it up stairs...amoungst all the rest of the crap...thought it was by the Mac Classic...no, maybe by the TRS-80... Oh well, it's still up in the attic. gunnar.
True, they did give the option of an opt out. But big deal if it doesn't work, as it did in my case. Just like all those other "click here to remove from our mailing list" fiascos. Now my address is somewhere else floating about... gunnar.
