This article seems to have been passed over without much viewing. All of the keyboards are really interesting designs, but I would like to point out one in particular. The TouchStream ST. Granted, it does have a pretty heavy price tag, ~$300, but if I had the money this is what I would buy. It completely gits rid of the need for a mouse, and it has a wealth of gestures that make your life a lot easier.
My girlfriend and I are both on a pretty tight budget this year so we don't have a lot to spend on fancy dinner and drinks and what not. So what we have planned is an erotic picnic at home. Put on some good music. Have some delicious food that can be eaten from a lounging position. And for desert have a number of items that can be eaten off of each other or fed to each other. Chocolate syrup, whipped cream, chocolate covered strawberries...you get the idea. You could even go as far as getting some flavored massage oils. Also, I planning on picking up a couple bottles of champagne. One good bottle for drinking and one cheap bottle for licking off of each other. Should be a very fun evening;)
I set up a linksys access point in my house. Orrigionally I had put the access point on the 2nd floor and I had been working on my laptops and desktops essentially below the access point. I tried moving the antennas but that seemed to have no affect. A friend mentioned to me that the wireless field is affected by the earth's magnetic/gravitational field. This seemed really strange and I didn't really believe the explanation, but I tried moving the access point down to the basement. I was then able to recieve great reception throught the entire house. I have since then replicated this same experiment and found the same results. Below the access point has bad reception and above has great reception.
But IBM doesn't sell Linux. They sell Hardware that runs linux and closed source software that runs on Linux. Besides making products that support Linux on a whole, how are they supporting the market share of the linux community?
I agree that this would be a great thing to happen, but what happens when people decide that interface translater object is too inefficient. Will they create another such interface to solve the issue? And then have a translator that translates to the second interface? As you can see over time this could become very cumbersome and would only be useful for the newest software.
I just don't see how you can have a profitable buissness solely on open source software. The only thing you can actually make money on is either documentation or support. But how are you supporting your development team?
There was barely a mention of one of the best new writers in the past few years. Robin Hobb (www.robinhobbonline.com) has written 8 books so far and if finishing up the last book in her third trilogy.
The Tawny Man: Fool's Errand, Golden Fool
The Liveship Traders Trilogy:
Ship of Magic, Mad Ship, Ship of Destiny
The Farseer Trilogy:
Assassin's Apprentice, Royal Assassin, Assassin's Quest
My company just went with a new isp that apears to also be in Kansas City (dont know if they are in your area or not).

Here is the link for the portion of the article about this awesome keyboard.
We did the same thing during WWI against germany.
liberty cabbage for sauerkraut, liberty steak for hamburger, hot dog for frankfurter
Notice one that looks familiar?

How would this work for companies like RedHat who only develop the OS?
