Your engaging in a few logical fallacies here; "The Complex Question", "Paralysis of Analysis", "Salience Bias", and possibly a close hit on a few others. Even if presented to you, my guess is you would then do a careful cherry-picking of the list to show how this report is biased because they are just trying to influence others for their own monetary gain.
However, according to their Twitter feed, as of August 2nd 2017 they are "introducing Agile at Schroders" so I suspect their entire company will soon collapse as they start introducing far too many bugs too quickly in their IT infrastructure but MUST continue to release without taking the time to clean up their backlog. Their Twitter feed also has several references to #climatechange so it's probably just part of their "sustainable investment" meme.

Maybe you should dust off your old phreaking skills, or use an app like ToneDef on your Android phone? Not that you should "have to" use some specialized app jist to navigate a system like that...
This sounds like a failure of the vendor's system; I've used dozens of support systems with various Android phones and never had that issue.
This is exactly why I am now a big fan of Dell's enterprise support. US-based call centers, follow-up calls, 24x7 support, etc. Once I spent 22 hours on a call while they rebuilt three virtual machines by "hand" (since we were still using 5.5), that day the warranty "paid for itself". We eventually ended up with someone in India for the high-level ESXi support but still, the tech really knew his craft. I was sad when Dell sold off Sonicwall, but so far Sonicwall support still seems pretty decent.
A corp's primary goal is profit. Your idea would just become a "race to the bottom" going all the way to "zero corporate taxes", and then into the negative with various tax breaks. There are already several corps that manage to pay no income tax in 2015.
