Nevermind that MS develops for apple. Even if you were just talking about the Windows vs. Mac OS X debate, do you really think no McDonalds executive has ever had a whopper? At least to see what it tastes like and see what they are up against?
OperaConv is a nice utility that will convert Opera bookmarks into an HTML file for you. You can find it at Wshscripting. Although, when I just looked, the site was down for maintenance, so just bookmark it for later use.
But I think you miss the big point here. One of the reasons a lot of people dont ditch windows is because of lack of game support(myself included). If you want Linux to take over what's almost completely a windows market (gamers) then your gonna need a company that ports games.
That is just a silly quote. If you want Linux to overtake Windows, get coding to improve game support for Windows. You said it yourself, people dont buy games for windows because of thier supperior quality. They buy them for the support windows offers games.
No matter how good a game company is. Games on Linux wont survive until someone improves support for them on Linux.
... to develop a technology for something that is now obsolete, that is the common ground soldier. Desert Storm proved that wars are best fought and won from the air, using precision weapons the minimize damage to surrounding areas. There is no place for the foot soldier anymore, Vietnam proved that.
Desert Storm was not a good example of future war's. We were fighting an army with technology generations behind us. Obviously our biggest threat is China, which I am sure is better armed then Iraq was. Not to mention huge amount's of troops is thier big advantage.
If, heaven forbid, the United States was attacked on our own land. Ground troops would be the way to defend. Not launching missles and blowing away our homeland. No matter the new technology, the ground troop is here to stay. And it is to our advantage to outfit them with the best equipment possible.
Recently a company has started construction on a new building in Chicago. When completed it will be the tallest building in the world. Coupled with the Sears Tower. That makes Chicago a pretty impressive area for tall buildings. Sorry, but the name of the new building escapes me.
What a novel idea. Take players that weren't good
enough to make it in the NFL and add some glitz and see if it works. It won't. For those of you unlucky enough to remember the ill fated USFL, it also was a ratings cow, when it opened for play. First week it avereged around a 14 rating. Soon, the product on the field brought the league down.
And that league had some big name players, Steve Young, Herschel Walker, and still couldn't make it.
The new technology is nice. But really, how oftern are you going to tune in, to see that camera angle? People wan't to see good football.
The new technology will draw them in, but in the end, the quality of play is what will keep them around. The big week for the XFL will be around week 4 or 5. Let's see then, what the ratings are.
I am fairly new to the Linux world. In the last 2 months, I have gone from knowing nothing, to totally dumping Windows for Linux. I read/. and see everyone saying what distro is the best and what not. I see this as a big problem in the future. If the newbie looks into the Linux world and all they see is people fighting over the best distro, they will most likely stick with Windows. With Windows, you basically just get the newest version and run with it.
I thought every distro used the same Linux kernal, and the basic difference was the packages that came with it. I think people need to concentrate less on telling everyone what is the best distro and just get the Windows user to try any Linux distro. I think this would be more beneficial in the long run.

If you have your own hosting, and PHP/MySQL then I would suggest using Pmachine. Sets up in 10 minutes and easy as pie to use.

Give the guy a break. Obviously he just got his first piece of ass, and now he is all in love.
