Actually, you missed what he was discrediting. I agree that Marty is a schmuck. But in this example, he was not contesting her org being the biggest, but rather that she didn't think it had ever been measured. He probably felt that she didn't want to tell him that there are bigger orgs than hers. Maybe she might lose her limelight?
I agree. I love the whole idea, but monkeyboy has a point. At this time, with ll the experienced web developers out there, there is no room for inexperience. It will only take a couple of months making somewhere between "jack" & "squat" when an "at-risk gang member" gives up and falls back on the one thing that he's trying to leave. Right now many industries are in dire need of help and are welcoming, with open arms, anyone who is willing to learn the chance to start a decent career (without having to do no-brainer oil changes and tune-ups). The medical industry can teach an idiot to become a CNA within a year and hospitals ARE PAYING FOR THE TRAINING. You can come out of it with total job sucurity and a great income in a respectable field. These guys would never look back!
I could be wrong, but I believe the copyright only lasts for 35 years. Then it becomes public domain. Or it's possible to (for lack of better word) re-copyright it. I think this is true because, at one point it was said in the news that Michael Jackson once outbid Paul McCartney in an auction for the copyrights to some Beatles music that had hit it's 35 year mark (hencs the idea that 35 years is the magic number).
You know, you definitely make a point. You sound very happy as a person without music.
I think you just have a hard time coping with the fact that you probably tried very hard at learning an instrument, and expressing your creativity and have now become bitter in your own failure! Music (or lack thereof) plays a huge role in one's happiness, intellect, and overall sucess in life. It's proven in studies, schools, and especially in yourself! I think from your own comments you can see that music has even effected "your" well-being.
"...the stupidness of music....music is shit..."
I am so sorry for you...it must really suck to be you.
