    Razormind, Ethereum, Eris Industries et al have been working on decentralized systems for nearly two years now. Eris released their DApp server for exactly this usecase and are working in the States to spread word of the tech. Ethereum recently pulled into release mode, and their decentralized system for smart contracts is slowly gaining momentum. Razormind has been working on a Decentralized Operating System which is driven by blockchains. The banks have only recently moved into the space properly - there was a $30m investment in Chain by Citi et al a few days ago - but folks like UBS and Barclays have been setting up blockchain labs and accelerators in London to investigate the possibilities.

    The articles are clear about the fact the parchment is from during life of Mohammad. The writing of the document would have happened *much* later. Makes sense considering scarcity of parchment in the region at the time. This feels like another anti-Islam piece.

    With Lambda expressions in the last release, and the renewed focus on mobile - Java is awesome. For a language which forced Microsoft to up it's game with C#, and with Linux has stormed into taking over most of financial services - it's as least as alive as COBOL. Which - like Sarah Palin - cannot be killed and will not go away. Java has the Colbert of Languages. Wildly successful, despite being in a suit.

    Without a doubt the most troubling aspect of the market is the fraud, scamming, lying and cheating that goes on from amateur dev teams that take a half-understood slice of code, rebrand it, and then pump it up in EXACTLY the same boilerroom scams that have plagued traditional fiat markets.

    The fact we need people to share their skills safely, train users, and businesses how to use crypto-currencies properly, and also ensure that those who create 'new' altcoins - are held accountable for the currencies they create, and to the people who bought into them.

    It's not enough to print monopoly money - we have to build businesses first so it's worth trading for a REAL good or service.
