    What about Lando?

  2. Re:This arguement needs to be put to rest on Apple Wants Your Input · · Score: 1

For $3500 I bought a 1988 Toyota Cressida. It does everything that a BMW does and it cost about 1/10th of the price. Why should I spend $40,000 on this BMW when a cheaper car does everything that it does. Why, maybe my penis is too small and I need to compensate by buying an expensive car. I've got as much money as I want so i'll blow off an extra 20% on this Macintosh. Sure its slower and more proprietary than an equivalently priced PC, but its got "the sex".

You're right, that is exactly what the comparisin is. Something that costs a lot of money VS. something that functions perfectly and at the same time provides me with all of the comfort features that i've ever wanted, all for a much lower price. With apple you pay a premium for the name, and thats not what i'm about.

  3. Winamp on Netscape 6 is Spyware? · · Score: 1

I wonder if winamp is collecting stats on what I'm listening to? Although i dont see this as a reason to use an "open source/free OS", since this has nothing to do with the operating system.

Yeah and apple is definitely selling us the iPod cheap enough to warrant not having these features built in. What was it... $399? That's a definite steal. /sarcasm

  5. This is moronic. on MSDN Subscriber Forced to use Passport · · Score: 1

//So, if you want to write code under windows, you must use Passport. Or not use MSDN. And lets face it, if you develop under windows, you must buy MSs tools, and you sure can't use those tools without their docs. Times like this I just sorta throw my hands up in the air and say wow//

Why would you say wow? That makes perfect sense to me. If you want to code FOR a company, they get your personal information. Or whatever they choose to require. You ARE writing code for THEIR software. And now they're making the technically 'savy' (of course, spelled wrong in the article by a technically savvy individual) use passport? FOR SHAME. Why are we so eletist that we decide those people who are on a lower plane of technical knowhow should be forced to giveaway their personal information, but we should remain totally anonymous.

I dislike microsoft, but i dislike linux eletists just as much.

everyone who is concerned about someone 'reverse engineering' one of these 'mini-reactors' can put their mind at rest because the DMCA will stop them dead in their tracks. -ziggens-

Howabout in touch with reality. Look at the MPAA and DECSS. But that must not have anything to do with corporate interests, right? And neither did that pesky war we had just several years ago. you know the one.. the one with the oil companies.. nah. Take a look around. Take a look at napster. You think the artists are getting fucked with napster? no fucking way.
