Yes but the device using high tension looked awesome, imagine the manourvability of remote drones using these! Instant speed up and slow down, high angle turns. Imagine weapons systems using these. It would still be cleaner, more efficient and more powerful than any fuel based propulsion.
... High tension electricity.. Hasnt this been done and there are videos on the internet showing this. They had models wired up to a transformer that fed a high tension feed to the model and it was levitating.

Well, the courts know better dont they. Its a corporate america. Settle it in the courts. I mean they know all the in's n out's of security in an IT environment.
What if they had confidential docuemnts on a monitor facing the window that passersby could read? Is that theft also?
There are already solar powered battery chargers on the market.

Is this just patented within the US or also in other countries or International patent?
ISO should scrutinise all standard proposals by way of a declaration of patents held, then they wouldnt be in this pickle. It is their own fault if they dont check for patents.
Sony paid them so their hardware market is not interrupted by legal issues. Too late, it is already interrupted as buyers will find software for their wonderful devices refuse to support it.
GIF has patents, how much of the software out there doesnt have a license for it? we still use GIF today regardless of the patent.
End users/home brew software devs dont care, corps do.
Older technology works and is very rohbust wheras newer more fancy technology has a shorter lifespan and just breaks when a granny within a 1 mile radius farts.
As an example, look at mobile devices, older devices can take a huge beating, whereas newer devices just disentigrate on impact.

"JPEG is short for the 'Joint Photographic Experts Group'. This was (and is) a group of experts nominated by national standards bodies and major companies to work to produce standards for continuous tone image coding. The 'joint' refers to its status as a committee working on both ISO and ITU-T standards. The 'official' title of the committee is ISO/IEC JTC1 SC29 Working Group 1, and is responsible for both JPEG and JBIG standards.
The best known standard from JPEG is IS 10918-1 (ITU-T T.81), which is the first of a multi-part set of standards for still image compression. A basic version of the many features of this standard, in association with a file format placed into the public domain by C-Cube Microsystems (JFIF) is what most people think of as JPEG! Hopefully this site will improve your knowledge of the real work of the JPEG committee."

When will the standard IM protocol be finalised?
Is it RFC 2778 ?
I am also hunting for a YMSG9 and MSNP7 protocol parser for netmon, anybody seen one?

Run your firewall in shutdown mode, no process space, no nothing, just a firewall.
When is the BIOS firewall comming out?
I cant wait until Russia joins the EU :D
The EU pisses of the US big time (look at our GPS project - they hate that because it is going to make the US monopoly on this system take a beating.)
I am glad the EU is standing up to alot of EU bullying and bullshit. If anybody can, its the EU.
Regional coding is illegal in the NZ i believe under anti competitive laws. Good on them.
I think its just a sad fact that the UK is the puppet of the US. The US's domination of Earth will be seriously challenged over time by the EU.
And the US doesnt like that one bit. Good.
Where they can make money is on the services, not devices, if a service requires new hardware, then fair enough. Not for the same level of service.
What is Adobe's stance on this issue with Photoshop? Did they pay a for a license?
What is MS's stance on this for IE? Did they pay for a license?
What about Mozilla? Are they going to pay for a license?

Cant help but think of Star Trek - The Motion Picture..
"VYGER"
Searching for it's creator.
they would have gotten away with it.

Its HTTrack that copies web sites (strangely enough).
Host it on a free website page (or 100 for redundancy - watch em take all those down
Then somehow force a DNS query to go from their original to your copy.
Instant remote defacement.
I submitted this a while ago before it appeared here. Same for other stories.

Wasn't the reason for JPEG (MPEG) etc to be a STANDARD?
Surely enforcing fee's makes it NON-STANDARD.
Have's and have not's.
STANDARDS are suppost to be AVAILABLE for use, not restricted by fee's or other obstacles.
Are there patents for this in other countries? International patents or JUST the US?
IF not, which countries are they NOT patented in?
