    Is it possible to predict the outcome of the next IP hop? Does it stay within a predefined range? Must it do for Corporate scenarios? If you can predict the next hop u got em ahead of em, lay a mind and wammo. Whats the IP hop algorithm? any ideas?

    Do they come in IMAX sizes? :D But seriously, for total submersive 3d, you need to remove visual references to the 2d world, ie., monitor frames, do make it in a size that is beyond yer peripheral vision. Imaging a room full of those :D *dang, walked into the wall again*

    o is that a pink flying pig i just saw flying by? What I want is some sort of total immersion system for gaming. Something for Tribes 2 or UT would sell like hot cakes. I dont know about you but Im tired or playing finger twister with my non kanji keyboard for tribes 2 and using a mouse too. Black and White has some good ideas with gestures. I want headsets or a room full of 3d screens or a magnetic levitated hampster ball with holographic projection. I want a REAL gaming experience. Holodeck any1?

    Systems are so versitile that they can take on many roles. When I talk of server, I normally talk of dedicated servers and subcatagorise them ie., Media server, storage server etc. Like you, I run a system that at some points runs FTP/WWW and Streaming media (server mode) and at other times I just run clients (workstation mode?) and when offline I code (desktop PC mode?)

    Servers are designed to scale out, and be up 24/7 and serve N number of users and hence run on clusterd hardware. Wheras Desktops are mostly down at night, mostly :) and serve mostly 1 user and consist of 1 machine.

    So the distinction between HomePC and Workstation becomes blurred when you plug in a cable to the internet. So, it has a duality, When unplugged - a HomePC When connected - a workstation

    Well, a desktop system is one that can run my client applications (that would access those services on the server that you described above). For doing things that I as a user need to to.
