What extra steps will they take? Increase the prices of the certificates? People can use money as a tool to hack also... Just wave yer money at em... That usually works:)
They may have documented the API's but cant they be subject to change willy nilly as they see fit:)

Well I do for one. When its contained thats no problem, but its when it becomes intrusive via window popup hell, banners, spam mail etc

I think we need an RFC on Instant Messaging to create a true standard. In the True spirit of standards.
