As far as gaming is concerned, who cares what hardware and software the thing sits on. Gaming is about the experience.

They may add a security_patch, but what will they do to prevent something like this happening again? What extra steps will they take? Increase the prices of the certificates? People can use money as a tool to hack also... Just wave yer money at em... That usually works :)

They may have documented the API's but cant they be subject to change willy nilly as they see fit :) You can get that easily by reading the dllexport list and if com from the typelibrary using OLEView. We need a true standard not just some OEM specific standard (If you can call that a standard)

  10. Instant Messaging Standardization on AOL Opens ICQ? Well, Kinda. · · Score: 1

I think we need an RFC on Instant Messaging to create a true standard. In the True spirit of standards.

  15. Ads on web pages on Banner Ads Could Soon Be Bigger · · Score: 1

I know this response is not banner related, but advert related, so. www.the-times.co.uk used to have an ad on the content page then passed through to the article and some others have ads embedded in the articles. Soon we will have adverts on the background images. What is next? What is best? (which is the worst of all evils?) I keep on gettin Gratisware.com popin up every other link i select. (Thats the most annoying ad for me) Does anybody have any links for imformation on advertising technologies so I can prepare defences against them in advance? Unless we start Internet v2.0 we seem to be stuck with ads. We need a commercial free station on the net :) (.NOSPAM)
