Here is a site with some more info on the SliMP3..

It has a bit more detail on the unit and a picture of it working. Quite and impressive peice of hardware.

I just don't understand it. Why do people use IE still? For a long time I understood them, it used a whole lot less memory than netscape, and rendered webpages a whole lot better than other browsers. But then I found Opera which completely blew me away. Not only does it only use 14 megs of memory, which is a lot, but not nearly as much as IE (25 Megs) or Netscape (35 Megs), and it renders webpages just fine. I will probably get modded down for being a troll, but could someone tell me why they still use Internet Explorer?

They just want the O.K. so if they get caught they won't get in any trouble. Hell they would probably keep it quiet anyway, so who knows why they want it legal, it's not like it matters. A little OT here, but this is pissing me off. After they attacks in NYC they have tried to limit (or just take away) our freedoms to keep other people from dying. I would like to think that our country is so great compared to some of those little dinky terrorists countries that we wouldn't have to do such things.

But sales of advertisments are hurting. If it means having slashdot for longer, I wouldn't mind obtrusive ads, as long as I could pay a little bit a month to turn them off. They would probably make more from people paying to not have them, than they would from them clicking them.

I have seen a prototype of these, although it wasn't working it was a great idea, just think of it as one of those desposable cameras. It is made out of paper, so you will have problems if you want a nice solid phone, but there are really made for someone who needs to make a phone call while on the run, or their cell is out of service, they can just run into the local Quicky-Mart and pick up a nice phone that can be used for 15, 30, or 60 mins.

StormLinux is the Mandrake of Debian, it is really a great OS for those who can't understand Debian's complicated installation, or use. It really is a shame. StormLinux2k had the power of potato, and the ease of use of Mandrake. We should seriously take up a fund, send them a check with a note and just say thanks.
