    Yeah, x86 may be cheaper, but can you hotswap CPU's and memory and I/O boards while the machine is still RUNNING like we do on our SunFire boxes? nah I dont think so.. do you enjoy comparing apples to oranges.

    Yep, thats a good idea, as you can fit trillions of nanobots in one cubic feet or even smaller. Get that single packet to the surface of the planet, then you can start mining resources and energy to build communication links and facilities, factories, research labs, what ever you need. Realy nice stuff.

    Yeah, I agre. Sending humans into space is a big waste of resources, we are not technologicaly advanced enough with our current "clumsy" space technology.

    The masterplan would be:

    1. Research nanotech
    2. Research anti-matter engine
    3. Build spaceship
    4. Launch manned space mission

    Yeah, I love Sun's 1U pizzaboxes (Netra, X1, Fire100). We have been using these rackmounts for about 3-4 years now and never experienced a hardware failure with them (not even disk or PS). Very solid stuff, just runs and runs.

    Its not physicaly addicted like substances as nicotine, alcohol and opiates. But it can be psychically addicted if you have a weak personality.

    But on the other side you can also get addicted to coffe, tea, cocacola, chocolate, sex, food, training/exercising, etc.

    Yes, water bongs removes some of the dangerous stuff in the smoke. There are even multi-chamber bongs that filter the smoke not only once but twice.

    You can not make sucking smoke into your lungs 100% safe as it will always be health issues with that, but you can aleast make it as safe as possible.

    Well, no. THC as a substance is not soluble in water. Agree that smoke in your lungs are not healty whatever smoke it is. Better to eat it (baking cakes/cookies or using it in food) or use a vaporizer.

    Agree with you, why give your time away for free for nothing? We work to live, not live to work.

    I work normal 9-5 and get paid by the hour for all overtime, 2xNormal + free lunch. This weekend I'd worked both saturday and sunday with upgrading some of our Solaris/Checkpoint firewalls. 20 hours of weekend work and get an +40% extra over the normal monthly salary which is nice for two days work. I happily work overtime and sacrify a whole weekend as long as I get paid real good for it.

    Yes. An other problem is that many developers still write their networking code as IPv4 instead of dual stack so it works with both protocols (if this is due to stupidity or ignorance I dont know). I think it's dumb to develop a new application from scratch as IPv4-only in 2003 then we have such good IPv6 support in all major OS.

    3. Chose the directory to unpack contents
    4. Click on button "Extract"
    5. Go into directory named "kast"
    6. Doubleclick on icon "kast.exe" (an DOS window will popup)
    7. In your webbrower go to page http://127.0.0.1:8085

    True, you can actually create your own content and share this with the world. P2P is just a transport service, what are being transported are unessential. Just like DHL / UPS is a physical transport service. They dont give a shit about the contents inside the boxes, just that the box get from location A to B as fast as possible. In the same way the P2P companies should not care what are being transported in their service. If it's my homemade movie/song or a hollywood movie should not matter to them, becouse this is out of their responsibility and all content should be treated equally by them. RIAA and MPAA needs to understand this.

    Yes, and how do we know its not the other way around? that SCO infact stole this particular code from Linux kernel.

    Two independent programmer can come up with simliar code. If you where to give a specfication for a specific function to 20 diffrent C programmers, and say "implement this". Dont you think some of the code they will write will look simliar?
