Well, and it doesn't of course. Since MSDOS/early Windows days I tried for the desktop DRDOS, Minix, OS/2, FreeBSD, Linux, SCO V, Ultrix, for the desktop until I had to deal with OSX quite by accident, quite by obligation. Since then, my search ended, or so I think.
Not to that particular one, but several. I even dislike my current android, but it is not the point. The point is me, and take note of this, I am not alone in this- I have spent at least a decade and half to find viable alternatives that I really enjoyed using to the rubbish MS passes as products, and I sure as hell am not going back to use any of their products. And lets not get started on the marketing failures and they strategy of not innovating but killing the competition. If people were so demanding with the quality of computers and software as they are with cars, Microsoft would have been out of business long, long time ago.
LOL; I know people who have it and they hate it. I also wouldnt touch it. It is just a evolution of Win CE by another name and I threw the one I had out of the Window of my car just because I loved it so much; and also the best joy they could give me some years ago was to steal my Nokia phone, so no go at all.
Hey, nice another microsoft shill. Pity I have friends who love Windows, and are saying Windows Phone 8 has to be the worst piece of garbage they have ever bought. And thinking one of them bought it to use excel files, and he says it doesn't work the way they wanted.
Because I love castrated products; shall I mention I hold the dubious honour of throwing a Windows CE GPS out of the Window? And 100km after, I entered in a mall and bought a TomTom, which run in linux. It hasn't been out of the Window yet, after 3 years. (yeah, Windows 8 is just Windows CE packaged in another name)
So lets suppose there are no "friends" buying the cheap land and selling it a couple of months after super inflated for starters.
The land is cheap, and then, dog provides for the houses? they live in tents? They build it with bricks like the slaves of egypt?
Are you really for real, or just trolling? And not, it not gov money, it is money stolen from us.
First, it is widely know cheap and state projects don't go hand by hand.
Second, we pay the bill, and pay it dearly. In my opinion, it is a slap in the face to give free housing to the upper poor/lower middle class who work till death to pay their housing.
Besides the housing, the government often also exempts or helps them to pay the utilities bill.
And I am not even talking about extreme situations http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-541598/Meet-families-ones-worked-THREE-generations--dont-care.html
That is another media manipulation. There are witnesses he has trespassed several backyards, and the very gate to the community that afternoon. He didn't "live" there. And talk about racism all you want, he fitted the description nonetheless, and not only by the colour of the skin. This political correctness is nauseous.
Well at least someone has to have the balls to harass undesirables wandering in a locked community at night that fit to the description of the people that has been shop windowing your neighboord for months. What we need is thousands of Zimmermans.
Think is the correct word. I don't see any adds at all. In sites like CNN I don't even think of opening video links. If I ever open a video link with ads, I close it. If I am *really* interested into seeing it, I take the time to search it into youtube or google instead of seeing it. If I don't find it, I suck it and don't see it.
Only 50%? Jewellery, money and electronics are screened for in the x-rays.
I have have the true ridiculous tale of my father luggage being held for 40 minutes more in Maputos airport just they could cut out the toy compass it had.
On the other hand, once I flew a notebook to HP for Germany for assistance under their warranty period, and did the mistake of leaving there the operating system, fully bootable with automatic login (it was Windows 98 days), fully customised with Office, etc etc, and a RAM expansion fitted in. The notebook was fully and dully registered and insured by HP, never arrived to the destination. Luckily they gave me a new one. However without first calling me a liar about the RAM expansion. Between that, and having to flown it, it was my first and last Compaq/HP notebook.
I also had a mobile taken from me from the x-ray of the hand luggage, under the pretence it got a malfunction and they were "fixing" it (i.e. they saw it in the x-ray, and grabbed it).
If I click ads disabled ?;)
This must be a JOKE. As usual, the linux Skype has having huge compatibility problems, and I really believe it must be a "coincidence". And lets not get started about the backdoors they have for law enforcement agencies, or the devious nature of the p2p protocol.
Are you sure about it wasnt the politics? Speaking from my personal experience, I didn't pursue Windows development and was actually searching for some decent alternatives for almost a decade due to technical shortcomings AND politics. I had the luck to understand early on I could not count on Microsoft to provide me with a solid and stable, familiar platform over time. Mind you, over time. By the time I finished my faculty project (hey, I worked at a software house before), I understood Microsoft had no interest in keeping their development API and their associated graphic libraries stable, but change them frequently enough, to disable the capability of people creating emulations or linking simulations libraries for other platforms (and sell a lot of training in the process) By luck, I could almost say my private and work life was on a route of collision with a solution. But it took me a decade and half to find a capable solution to the desktop, and almost another decade to find the hardware matching with it that feels it is fairly fast enough for my liking. What those offerings could be? A stable, decent enough platform, a better browser, some more quality software, and software that does not break with other platforms ( something they devote a lot of energy to make sure it happens ).
However something does not fit in this story. Having writing a emulator for an 8-bit computer I know it takes some months. Albeit I do not want to compare my (former) coding abilities to Mr. Allen, the work is far from trivial. I wonder wether they were able to get their hands on a prototype, but had to give another explanation, as it would not be seen with good eyes by other players.
Dude, I have a opportunity with that GPS, and that darn thing had the USB castrated to work only in Windows.

My condolences to you and your family sir.

They could give it for free for all I care. Or with a free copy of virtual Gates+Ballmer dancing on the screen. I wouldnt touch them.

Social housing if affordable because we are forced to foot up the bill.

Exactly, AdBlock+ClickToFlash are FANTASTIC. If a site does not allow adblockers, I stop visiting it, period. The Internet has a lot of alternatives.
Just lets suppose the wife google it on his notebook to find the location. I google things all the time before going there.

I am not american btw, my mobile was stolen in maputo and my notebook in transit between Portugal and Germany.

Driving with a photo of a 150km sign? ;-P
Amen!
It works well for you, and? Do you realise how many hardware and cameras are out there?
If I click ads disabled ? ;)

Good strategy to throttle spam ;)
