the OS was prone to what I call 'The Pulsating Seizure Feature' a few dozen times over the weekend. In a nutshell: launching apps (and, occasionally, moving between apps) can cause the device to freeze and begin flashing the screen rapidly."
oh good, I was afraid that we would have to get through a technology review without taking swipes at medical communities.
The NSA employs Really Ridiculously Smart People, so then I could count on my router being really, really secure against everyone and everything... except the NSA.
Which would be an OK trade-off for me, and I think would be an OK trade-off for a lot of people...
oh, totes. if the nsa gave you a router with a 100% backdoor for them, then you would be golden against all other threats. except... obv the nsa can be infiltrated cf snowden. and others could engineer your router backdoor. and if the nsa has a router backdoor they could potentially get access to your computer and all your bizness, not to mention the computers and bizness of everybody you communicate with.
So, perhaps you would rethink your hypothetical statement?
I read the title as "under the robin hood with battle 4". this obviously made no sense! so i reread it and saw what they meant. Have a good discussion!
does not compute? here in the USA now we have obamacare and prism it's game over vis a vis human rights. next, "national gun registration act" (a form of gun control), and other things. tightening the belt. welcome to the future, my friends. not gonna lie - like a sap, i voted for it.
if somebody made a phone with a proprietary connector these days, they would be laughed out of the store. either that, or they made something so incredibly awesome that it justifies the proprietary connector, and people will accept the inconvenience. that's how the market works. no need to regulate!
no, they're acting as a dumb pipe so you can use bandwidth for more youtube and gmail and all that other stuff. also, instead of just recording your actions on some websites, they can record your actions 24x7 and link it to a real person, not just an online profile. profit!
ok that's different. i'm like, if govt has to step in at all, they should only step in when there's a compelling reason, of which this is not one. you're like, its govts job to regulate whatever it pleases, bitch, so back off. who is on the side of reason here?
wrong. if left to profiteering, consumers will always lose.
no, companies cannot be trusted. they are not there for us, they are there for them.
the government (as much as we all hate it) is there to keep the companies in line with general public interests. left alone, companies will do all they can to maximize profits but that rarely has anything to do with the general public good.
I'm all for mandated connectors so that we don't have to overspend on proprietary ones!
i assure you, the government is not there for us. they're there for themselves, and to make their own little fiefdoms larger and take more tax dollars. power junkies who want no accountability. i'll take corporations over govt.
what are you talking about???? the whole article is about how apple doesn't use micro usb!!!
I'm just saying different strokes for different folks. you like microusb on your android, i like lightning on my iphone. i bristle when somebody tells me that i'm doing it wrong, and they know what's best for me. mind your own business!
so make you case clearly and limit your scope. think before you speak!@!!
To even be in law enforcement, you have to drink vigorously from the cup of ends-justify-the-means.
and booze.
what is a range safety officer
flame on!
dude, i'm pretty sure this is your unique bone to pick here. OP describes it well.
you don't know what you're talking about. I don't see a conundrum here. I see a pair of idiots who should have tickets to the idiot farm.
What swipe at medical communities? The screen pulses and seizes, as in "My computer seized up".
nopee. I was going to respond with something, but you're just being intentionally difficult so I won't waste my time.

last week I bought a 500gb USB external hard drive for $35. there are reasons other than noobiness to eschew esata or fw.

What is the opposite of progress?
republicans! [raises mod shield]
also, your definition of "desireable". it's interesting to hear that it falls short of your ideal. i haven't heard many people state that opinion.
thinking about it more, a simpler and more pithy version is:
In mesozoic-era earth, the meteor destroys YOU!
it's easier on the tongue, doesn't use a made-up verb, and more directly correlates with the story and subject.
In mesozoic-era earth, the meteor extinctifies YOU!
bettery?
STOP TALKING TO ME! official notice: your communications are unwelcome and troubling.
UK, US, NK - which ones are pigs and which ones are men? ask NSA / GCHQ.

I don't think you know what honeypot means... based on who I've met in govt, I think a NSA honeypot would be remarkably unsuccessful.

you're being sarcastic, but i cant tell if its sarcasm or double-sarcasm, and on which side of the issue you lay.
i don't understand, is this summary about the argument that the prosecutor is making, or is this the ruling by the judge.
