    Second, by announcing to the world that they're for sale they instantly froze the decision process of every corporation that was considering an upgrade to BB10. Why would any customer consider committing themselves to Blackberry for the next 2-5 years when they're not even sure Blackberry would last in (its current form at least) till the end of the year?

    I think this concern is overblown.

    or put it another way, a simple switch on a nuclear bomb failed as it fell to earth, rendering it inoperable. doesn't inspire much confidence for when it is used in war.

    Well, if you choose to ignore the fact that the US has successfully used two nuclear bombs in war...

    I don't care as much about the reliability of bombs used in the past, so much as the reliability of bombs we may use in the future. I'd prefer them to inspire confidence!

    btdubs, does anybody know if this switch failure was a safety feature that worked, or a malfunction of a critical piece that was a lifesaver in this scenario?

    i don't worry so much about a cat paw fooling the sensor that it is a person's finger print. Just trying to make sure that my two cats won't be able to unlock each other's phones.

    toochet. I meant interstellar space. And to the "there's no boundaries, man" guy, there actually is a boundary between Sol and the rest of the galaxy. Look up the termination shock and the heliopause. Their scientific, but what they're essentially saying is that after a boundary the sun runs out of staying power.

    I think I get the mechanics of what goes on (switch from LTE to wifi without breaking the connection). Can anybody explain the significance, or how it would improve phone functionality and app functionality? I'm sure there's a killer application, but I don't see it.
