That's not a refund. A chargeback is a refund. With this they just keep your money and give you the illusion of getting the full value back, when in actuality it costs them cents on the dollar to do this.
Well, on the other hand, the viewer already watched half the season. It's not like the season was a stale donut to be sent back. What the viewer got was good. Just half of what he expected.
that's a fun idea. imagine the offer that you could get your cash back if you returned your memories of the episodes and did something negative to negate the enjoyment you got out of them. more realistically, you could cash in only on episodes that were unwatched. unrealistic, but fun to think about.

cmon man. the itunes page said what this dude was buying. he didn't read and clicked on the "BUY ME!!!" button. Apple is throwing him a bone.
Also, everybody will get their full value back if they continue to buy on iTunes. Likely if they bought a $23 season pass they have committed to the iTunes ecosystem anyway. The only people who get pinched are those who are like screw you apple smell ya later! which is probably 1%. and if you feel so strongly, you can even use the money to gift media or apps to someone else.
in short, problem goes away, let's move on with our lives.
nice. can't wait to play it. I only play one or two games a year, so what I typically do is buy a system from target, play the game hardcore for a couple weeks, then return the system. scratches my video game itch at low cost! also this way it's the best use of my time to play blockbuster games, and I don't fill the time with lesser games. on my list right now are gta V and bioshock infinite. will also consider the new assassin's creed with the pirate theme. I was a little disappointed in AC III, but AC II was prolly the best video game I ever played.
It seems likely that something else was really going on, the FBI agent was feeding information to the reporter for money but they couldn't prove it, hence they searched for anything and everything they could charge the agent with instead. So likely there were a whole series of leaks they couldn't pin to the agent but they where fairly certain the agent was the problem.
whaa? what idea leads you to believe that the associated press was bribing an FBI agent for classified information? there's no hint of suggestion for this anywhere. I find it much more believable that agency xyz railroaded him than there was an AP bribery thing. If there were, they would have shut down that entire office.
Why? It seems like a fair sentence to me. There was no "whistleblowing" here that I can see. His disclosure compromised field agents, and could have done real harm. He was apparently just leaking classified info for his own benefit. This guy was not a Snowden, or even a Manning.

pseudonym != anonymous. noh8rz10 is a pseudonym, because even though it's not connected to a specific person, there is one voice who makes all the noh8rz posts. AC is anonymous; all number of people post comments that way. his point is less valid because it's snarky and cowardly. and I don't want to travel the world to learn what a repressive state looks like - I can do that from home!
We'll that means they can gather it even if you don't use it, because it's built into the home button. If you feel strongly about it, better stick to iPhone 5 and earlier!
In CA it doesn't matter because they take everybody's fingerprint when you get a drivers license. So the NSA already has it.
Maybe the best use of touch Id is as a complement to a code. Something you know, something you have, something you are. They have 2 out of 3, and with their Siri they could add voice too. "My voice is my passport. Verify"
don't forget goog. no wait, it's ok because they make free (monetarily) stuff for geeks and have a fun image. did you see the internship? god i wished i worked in that geek palace. they do no evil!
well, they were just in the news for an unauthorized charger electricuting a girl in the tub, so I'm not surprised they want to clamp down on $0.24 monoprice chargers. smart company is smart.
That Apple has pushed out updates to hardware that couldn't really handle it. They've done this both to computers and I phones.
Actually I've always been impressed how the osx updates worked so well on my old hardware. I some cases there wasn't much change, and in some cases there were definit improvements. I can't think of any upgrade where I felt bogged down afterward.
I agree about the phones, but remember that the phones are improving like at 2x annually. Hard to make an os. That takes advantage of new phone hardware but runs well on a phone that is 3 years older and 10x slower!
I like how they changed the pop up message boxes. Used to be a bubble that would bounce into focus. The animation for the new versioning much shorter, and it feels much more responsive.

ok, what was his own benefit here? was he paid? or what?
when you can't step on the neck of the free press, just stomp on everybody who dares to talk to them.
I'm growing more and more horrified to be a citizen of the USSA.
You're welcome to leave and find out what an actual repressive state looks like, kid.
said the anonymous coward.
same side, people! let's at least pool our resources to confront nsa. they want us to be divided.

HOSTS! $10,000 challenge! GNAA! FRIST PS0T!
yes, value.

Yeah but he probably registered his middle finger print at an earlier time. The phone can recognize up to 5 fingers. Sucker born every minute...
Let's face it though, unless companies are willing to spend a fair amount more on these biometric sensors, they'll always be trivial to hack
ok, but how about hacking 1) 4 digit code 2) fingerprint 3) photo 4) voice recognition? that's pretty secure.
We'll that means they can gather it even if you don't use it, because it's built into the home button. If you feel strongly about it, better stick to iPhone 5 and earlier!

Remember that a hacker won't know which of 5 fingers the owner uses, so that's another layer of security
Especially when 90% of pins are 0000, and 9% are 1234
Better yet, imagine where the "PC" would be today if IBM had tried something like this.
yes, this strategy worked out really well... for M$. where is IBM now? they booted themselves out of the pc business in 1888. winning!
don't forget goog. no wait, it's ok because they make free (monetarily) stuff for geeks and have a fun image. did you see the internship? god i wished i worked in that geek palace. they do no evil!
srsly? this move is straight out of SJ's playbook.

or does he ride down atop the bomb waving his cowboy hat?
