the problem is that most ppl only vote for democrats and republicans, who are two sides of the same coin. the only real way to change anything is to vote for a third party, but only smart ppl do that, and the majority of the population isnt smart
i dont know of a single internet company who DOESNT cap your internet speed. as far as total allowed download/upload, i suggest voting with your money. i couldnt really tell which you were complaining about, but it is standard practice to cap upload and download speed.
think about it this way, in a few years you will be able to get google fiber.
there wont really be any real space travel until we find some way to get out of the atmosphere without spending billions of dollars on fuel. there are many new prototypes as far as space propulsion go, that are cheap to produce and cheap to utilize, but they just dont have the power necessary to get out of earth's atmosphere.
in all the movies, they solve this by taking high powered shuttles to an orbital space station that can hold shuttles and space ships, and really, this is the only feasable solution at this point, it just has to get done
hacking websites in general may not be terrorism, but hacking news sites and saying the white house was attacked, causing the stock market to plummet 5% in an hour does count as terrorism
the objective of a bios password is to keep someone from accessing the bios. if you want to keep someone off your computer, you encrypt your hard drive
charging a battery takes a long time and a large amount of power because batteries are super innefficient. they dont hold a "charge" they use the electric charge to cause a chemical reaction. the chemical reaction builds up and then can be reversed for a small amount of the input charge. this is why they suck and only have like 9 hrs of battery life for a laptop at most
lithium ion batteries are awful. currently available, there are much better battery types out there, like the si-anode battery, among others. the future, however, is not batteries, it is supercapacitors made out of graphene. there wont really be a huge market for electric cars until supercapacitors are available, because they hold a much larger charge and build up storage 100x faster than a battery. with graphene supercapacitors, electric cars will be able to go much further without recharging than a normal car would go without refueling.
noone is alone in hating software patents except the patent trolls. consumers and even software developers at large companies all hate them, thats why software patents are being eliminated country by country.
the company's name was maxfield and oberton LLC. the government is trying to go after him anyway. this is why im saying it isnt a good slope for the government to running on
next time you start up a company and decide not to incorporate, let me know. there is a difference between committing a serious personal crime( something that a lot of crooked ceo's get charged for), and producing a product that isnt safe for children that has to be recalled for that very reason(even though the parents should have said no to the children). hes not being charged with a criminal offense, the government is trying to charge him personally for the 50 something million dollars that it cost them for the total recall of the product (even though the company has been out of business for years).
also, let me ask you this, if you create a company, you are saying that you should be held liable for anything that goes wrong in the company? what if one of your employees was the one being malfeasant? should you be charged with problems he caused? well, what about the CEO? a lot of times CEO are not the owners of the company. you are still going after the owner right? i mean he DID create the company, and he IS raking in the profit.
now lets move on to publicly owned companies, because in teh eyes of the law, they are the same thing. if you always go after the owners for things that go wrong in the company, then you would be going after every single person who owns shares in a company, because technically they are the owners.
i think you are being a little bit ridiculous when you are saying that the owners need to be held liable for things a company does. there are reasons for the whole incorporation thing.
it doesnt matter what he was, he didnt get 100% of the company's profit, he probably got a rather high salary, but not all of the profit, therefore he doesnt take the blame for things the company does. that is the whole point of incorporation, to protect individuals from being ruined by lawsuits against a company. the very first thing any smart person does when they make a company is incorporate for this reason. it doesnt matter whether or not you are going to be a bad person, someone will eventualy sue you. it is exactly the same as getting a lawyer any time the police want to talk to you for any reason(whether or not you are guilty). you do it to be safe.
there are a ton of lawsuits against companies, and hardly even a small percentage of them is misdeeds. the vast majority are frivolous lawsuits, where, if a person had to pay the fines, they would be ruined instantly
no, thats NOT good. that means that you can be personally sued for anything that goes on with the company. imagine you had a startup ladder company and you personally got sued for 100M dollars because your ladder caused injury to some dumbass who set it up upside down. you think im being silly? you do know why they have all those stickers on the ladder telling you how to use it dont you? it is because the companies LOST a lawsuit for that very reason. it would be totally ridiculous to fine a person for the actions or products of a company, even if that person created or is in charge of the company.
lets leave it at both, and then say that it doesnt really matter because the ppl arguing for gun control keep saying that theres no reason for ppl to be allowed to have and carry semi-automatic guns to protect themselves against muggers, when clearly the intent was not to protect against muggers
no, im fine, ive got points to burn. but here, let me go out and say it. f*k ppl who are too poor to have any access to internet WHATSOEVER in the united states. we dont fucking live in the middle of a jungle, no matter where you are, the maximum you would have to drive or take a bus would be 100 miles, and thats assuming you really do live in the middle of nowhere, and chances are, there is internet within 10 miles of everywhere you live. i have to drive almost that just to get to my designated voting area. im sure the vast majority(like 99%) of the population would be very happy to have internet voting.
the problem is that most ppl only vote for democrats and republicans, who are two sides of the same coin. the only real way to change anything is to vote for a third party, but only smart ppl do that, and the majority of the population isnt smart
google fiber is 1Gb/s, unlimited data monthly.
i dont know of a single internet company who DOESNT cap your internet speed. as far as total allowed download/upload, i suggest voting with your money. i couldnt really tell which you were complaining about, but it is standard practice to cap upload and download speed. think about it this way, in a few years you will be able to get google fiber.
even the rocket fuel is so expensive you probably cant afford it

if you REALLY want to protect something, nest encrypted drives inside other encrypted drives.
the objective of a bios password is to keep someone from accessing the bios. if you want to keep someone off your computer, you encrypt your hard drive
are you also going to tell me that dna data storage and quantum computers are fairy magic too?
some things just make technological sense. 15 years ago, you would have thought the idea of a smart phone was fairy magic.
what part of "in the future" do you not understand

no, if your company is an LLC or something else i cant remember, you cannot be held personally liable for anything to do with the company
no, the COMPANY is responsible. the actual owner is not liable as long as they have incorporated
the company's name was maxfield and oberton LLC. the government is trying to go after him anyway. this is why im saying it isnt a good slope for the government to running on
he did though. thats the problem. the government is trying to charge him for something hes not liable for
