    Wow, this is the first time I have ever heard of this. That kind of kills the insurance argument, but it does make them a whole lot closer to an employer than a 'ride sharing service'.

    Devil's Advocate. There is a lag between when you car gets stolen and when you know it's stolen, then lag for when you tell the police, then lag for when they get it into this system. This way they can have scanned list from the last day or so and check it when you call in.

    At the very least it shouldn't be full commercial insurance. Maybe the insurance companies should get with the times and work with Uber to offer a per mile rate or something to cover the drivers while they are on the job. Plus, there are plenty of other commercial drivers that do not carry the right insurance, food delivery being a big one.

It's fitting that they really push this at a time when a more usable darknet should be very attractive to most people. Your IP address, cookies, device ID, browswer ID, OS ID, various logins are all being cross referenced. Your professional work 'searches' are going to be put in a pile with the rest of 'it'.

    That doesn't make sense. Sure, be more efficient, but don't aim to lower usage. Readily available energy is how we advance. Focus on making electricity cleaner and more efficiently. This is the equivalent of throttling progress.

    I spend entirely too much time on reddit, and it doesn't seem like they can even put together a clear message about what they are mad about. It's turned from a few people that had really good reasons at the beginning to a "Pao must go!!!" Circlejerk.

    I'm just reiterating what we were taught in an intellectual property course as part of an internship. They have to make reasonable efforts to protect their trademark. If they got lazy in the future every single instance like this one where they did not take any action would be used against them.

    They have to make a reasonable effort to prevent genericide. This would fall under that, because they are using IMAX to describe a large format theater and not an IMAX. They could need cases like this in the future if someone wants to claim that IMAX willfully let their trademark become generic.

    It's trickier than that. You can go ahead and use IMAX however you want, but IMAX is compelled to send you a cease and desist to show that they are actively protecting their trademark. They can't win in this case, but they are obligated to ask.

    Hillary has the support of a SOME people that were relatively grown when Clinton was in office, but in general the millennials don't seem to care for her. She's so obviously a career politician and a relic at that. I can't imagine many modern women supporting her; she basically let her husband run around fucking the help. Has she accomplished anything really significant in her long political career, other than generally seeming disgruntled and confused? The millennials want some sort of champion, not more of the same old shit. That's why Obama won. We wanted something new, we didn't care what - and it looks like we still got more of the same. I imaging the hunger for some real change could even get liberal dems to vote for the absolute craziest right winger at this point - just put a [I] in front of their name.

    We went from these being open source tools for 'makers' to little boxes that you put coins into and they spit out DRM'd content? It even sounds like they've given up on the consumer hardware and now just want to sell files. There's about a million other startups and existing companies that could do the same thing with no clear disadvantage now that they've said "Meh..." to the printing hardware.

    Why process it to the point that it is safe for the reservoir when there are plenty of needs for grey water? Use it for irrigation and let the earth do the rest of the filtering. We're irrigating with drinkable water when we could process our waste a little and use that to supplement.
