If Exxon is a purely an energy company and not just an oil company, it makes sense for them to try to plan ahead. Very "soon" it won't be profitable to search/drill/pump/transport oil anymore. For all we know, Exxon could be the best energy company decades in the future. It still won't remove all the pollution they made though.

If you're an asshole/idiot/troll/etc, your posts get down-modded, your karma goes down and you first lose the extra +1, then the regular +1, then you go down to posting at -1 by default (I think?).
I suppose some people don't like my automatic +2 score, others are following everything I post and are still angry for things I said in other threads and down-vote unrelated things I say in newer threads. There's idiots everywhere, including Slashdot.
