Someone somewhere is seriously wondering if we can scale an air defense battery to the size of toy firetrucks and SAMs that are the size of bottle rockets.
I'm running XP on a new computer that I built myself about six months ago. I installed XP because it's the only Windows license I have.
And there's no such thing as a "cheap" Windows 7/8 license, it's still 130$CAD everywhere. I'm not paying 130$ for the OS of my gaming PC, my CPU and GPU combined didn't even cost that much,
Microsoft still hasn't announced how much a Windows 10 license will cost. And don't reply with "it's free" because not everyone runs Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1.
I don't mind if I get an "overrated" to cancel the moderation made by someone else, but my baseline "2" is neutral and doesn't have any significance (insightful or whatever).
It is usually quoted as width × height, with the units in pixels: for example, "1024 × 768" means the width is 1024 pixels and the height is 768 pixels.
Logitech M-BA47. I cannot hold that mouse any other way than with my thumb on the left side, three fingers on top and pinky holding the right side. My three main fingers land on the left button, scroll/click wheel, right button. And I only need slide my thumb down about 5mm to reach the left-side fourth button.
Today's mice are so small that I think they only test them with children.
Yes, you have been lied to. Windows is in fact a 32 bit extension and a graphical shell for a 16 bit patch to an 8 bit operating system originally coded for a 4 bit microprossessor, written by a 2 bit company that can't stand 1 bit of competition.
Furthermore, pixel density is a relation between resolution and physical size, so if you think resolution means pixel density, you learned things the wrong way.
A programmer doesn't care about the size of the display when he makes sprites and bitmap images. A bitmap image takes exactly the same number of bytes wether the display is 2" or 200" as long as the resolution is the same, which is measured in pixels.
That's exactly what it means: resolution is the number of pixels, always has been. There is no direct relationship between the size of a display and its resolution. If a company wanted to make a 60" display with a resolution of 192x108 pixels, they could.
Sounds like something from Monty Python.
Yes there is. His name is Lt. Gen. Leland Zevo.
Handheld Zapper to the rescue!

I've actually written a comment about this and it's doable today, with crypto-currencies.
Why the upside-down smiley face?

People have called the pixel dimensions "resolution" since the late 1980's.
It's also what's on Wikipedia.
I don't know which dumbass keeps modding me "overrated"... don't you know that people with an excellent karma automatically post with a score of 2?
If Bitcoin ever hits a value of a million dollar per coin, I'll be able to afford a 980. Maybe.
Well thank you very much. I'll be here all week!
Still the same almond colour as when I bought it. Is it so hard to keep your hands clean when you're using your computer?

You're right, that command doesn't work on OS/2.
M-BA47 user here.
Now get off my lawn.
I also avoided the same fate. I bought a fanless Zotac GT630 1GB.
I've looked at it, and it's all just a bunch of zeros and ones. Shouldn't be too hard to fix, right?

I you want real shivers, don't forget to use EMM386 and to LH your CD-ROM and mouse drivers.
Dogecoin – very currency – many coin – wow.

I heard they want to exchange their Bitcoins for Dogecoins.
