    Yea and Kia sells a lot more cars. As transportation a Kia is in many ways a better car.
    The Kia will get as good or better mileage. Repairs will be cheaper. Insurance will be cheaper.
    On the street and within the law in the US they will both take you places at the same speed and relative safety.
    The BMW will be "nicer" to drive and a lot better at a track day but for the average person the Kia is the better choice.
    The Kindle Fire looks to be much the same.

    There are a few ways to make it more dangerous. I just wanted to point out that it was a valid threat. You don't have to take out an entire building. At this point I will let it go since I don't really enjoy thinking that way.

    Well It looks like about 4.6g at launch I don't have the stage weights and odds are very good that they do have them cores reduce thrust as they burn so yeah it would probably be a rough ride at best. It is the term ballistic that I found odd,

    Well some remote controlled airplanes are actually pretty big. Here is one with a 12' wing span. It could lift say 7 kg with no real problem. http://www.hobby-lobby.com/telemaster12.htm Maybe cut that to 4kg and use electric power and if you covered it in light grey you no one would see it until impact. but 4 or 7 kg would kill anyone outside near the impact point. You would aim it at an entrance time the impact for say 5:50 pm in the winter so that it is dark, Sure it wouldn't blow up the entire building but it would still suck to die or have your arm or leg blown off.

    Better is an odd thing.
    The cpu in this thing is actually a really nice dual core cpu. The screen is good.
    The two downsides I see are
    1. No MicroSD slot.
    2. No cameras.
    I see this as a great skype device.
    The smaller screen size would make it a better reader for a lot of things. It is more portable, and cheaper.
    The iPad is a much more powerful device but I see this as being better for surfing the net at lunch or reading in bed.

    I don't see rooting as a big issues. I use Amazon for music purchases now as do most people but I tend to just rent music with RDIO to be honest.
    I do shop at Amazon and already have prime.
    I do have a Kindle and use the Kindle app on my phone now.
    The only thing they would be missing out on is if I bought an app at the Android appstore which I just do not do that often.

    Actually I never pirate. I know that makes me in the minority but I just don't. I want root to use custom roms and to put the Android app store on the device. A lot of apps are not available in the Amazon market including a good number of games. Add in Google maps and nav, "there is an app that will allow you to share the GPS on your Android phone over wifi to devices that do not have wifi", gmail, gtalk, and google plus.
    I root my phone to do cool stuff with it and not to pirate.

    Okay so the channels that are cheap or that pay that cable companies will be "included" with the local channels. The channels that are expensive will be charged for! That is the single must fair and logical way of doing things that I have never heard.

    For years the cable companies where subsidizing the cost of ESPN buy bundling it with other channels. I wonder how many people will pay for ESPN when they see the real cost. Heck I think it is great. I could get the channels I want and pay the real costs of those channels.
    How the heck is this bait and switch. This is actually dumber than the summary that implied that using old missiles to launch satellites was something new.

    Can I root it and put the Android App store on it? I know not yet but hopefully someday.
    The Silk browser sounds very Opera like from the mobile days.
    OMAP 4! That is a pretty hot CPU folks.
    Lack of a front facing camera is a negative. Come on this is pure skype candy folks.

    My wife as a rooted viewsonic Gtab and it is really nice but it is too big for for an ereader.
    The iPad2 is too pricey and too big.
    Even if it isn't hackable at $199 I may still get it just because it would be so handy.

    Just what does that have to do with anything? Just about any none winged rockets flight is ballistic! Ballistic has nothing to do with g loading.
    Guess what the rocket that is used to put the Soyuz in orbit is a converted ballistic missile called the R-7.
    The rocket that put John Glenn in orbit was a converted ballistic missile called the Atlas.
    The rocket that put the Gemini capsules in orbit was a converted ballistic missile called the TitanII.
    The real answer is, no 900 lbs is not enough for a manned mission. The Mercury space craft is about as small and bare boned as you would want to get was 2700 lbs. Even with modern materials cutting that in half would be hard and you still don't have room for a person.

    Yea they have been doing since well the first space launches.
    Sputnik used the R-7 ICBM as a launcher. Still in use today as the Soyuz launcher in an updated and modified from.
    Explorer 1 was the launched using a modified Redstone SRBM.
    Atlas ELV == Former Atlas ICBM also used to launch the first Mercury orbital mission.
    Delta= modified Thor IRBM.
    Titan Family used to launch Gemini, Viking, Voyager I, Voyager II and many others descended from the Titan I and Titan II ICBMs.
    The Proton was developed as a super heavy ICBM but turned into a launcher.
    Even the Saturn 1b used a lot of parts from the Redstone and Jupiter missiles for it's first stage.
    About the only systems that are not related to cold war missiles are the Delta 4, Atlas V, Ariane 5, Falcon and a few others that I am sure I missed like.
    In other words the first satellite was launched by the first Cold War ICBM.

    People are have gotten tired of those stupid games.
    Facebook is making money and a lot of it.
    Groupon. I used it once of movie tickets. People can only go out to eat and got to the spa so many times.
    I don't think it is too much of a bubble. Much like the first time around the good will survive the stupid will die off.

    Of course you should come to my new social media site. It is for people that are in deep emotional relationships or want to seek relationships with one eyed Episcopalian kangaroos. I am pretty sure it will be the next big thing.

    I never said say nothing. I said say less and listen more.
    You see if you listen to why people believe differently than you do then
    A. Might find out your are wrong.
    B. Understand why the believe the way that they do and then show them why you believe the way you do and change their mind.
    Taking sides? There is only one side which should be trying to do what is best.
    Oh and you will never engage, convence, or learn by being sure you are right and that everyone else is wrong.

    My advice comes down to listen, understand, discuss, learn, and then vote.

    Well I should have add the word all to the each of the first two lines.
    There are good Republican politicians and good Democrate politicians.
    There are bad Democratic politicians and bad Republican politicians.
    I have never meet a moderate libertarian. They are all sure that an completely untested system without safeguards can work. It is a very safe belief because it will never be implemented so you can never be proven wrong. It is a great beliefe for the eternal critic.

    I think that modernation is the key. Moderate regulations to and safety nets to keep thing in check.
    As far corporations go well it seems to be just common sense.
    A corporations goals is to make as much money as possible.
    A governments goal is to protect it's citizens.
    Apply enough controls to business to protect the citizens without so many controls you strangle inovation, initiative, and economic growth.
    The trick is to find the balance.

    No the majority are not. The Majority of both parties are don't vote in the primaries. That leaves only the candidates that cater to the "activist" aka extremes. A moderate candidate will not win in the primaries so the majority have to pick from the least of two evils when it should be the "activists" that have to pick from the less of two evils.
    The majority do not have political bumper stickers, go to rallies, or put signs in their yard.

    No real agenda, no real leadership, no real solutions, no real propose.
    Frankly just causing more harm than good and now Moore to make things even worse.
    He will make a movie about it, his Dittoheads will go and feel all righteously indignant and he will collect another nice paycheck.

    If you say it is the Republicans fault you are just a drone.
    If you say it is the Democrats fault you are just a drone.
    If you say that President Obama is all to blame you are a troll.
    If you say that none of it is President Obama's fault you are a mindless fanboi.
    If you think that being a Democrate makes you better than a Republican you are a fool.
    If you think that being a Republican makes you better than Democrate you are fool.
    If you are a Libertarian well your just in fantasy land.

    The solution.
    Talk less, listen more, stop treating elections like sporting events, stop vilifying those that disagree with you, and vote in the primaries.
    Oh and treat the election like this, this is a job interview and you are the boss. Grill them and then pick.
    And don't waste your time sitting on the street eating donated pizza and babbling.

    x-n= wholesale generation costs

    Nope. I suggest your read up on grid connected solar. The utilities pay you at retail until you reach zero then they pay you at the rate of lowest cost of generation!.
    In this case they will pay you back at the rate you charged and once you hit 0 they will go full retail.

    You are missing the real beauty of this system.
    1 . It takes x+n to get a full charge on the battery and they charge you for x+n.
    2. When you discharge a battery you x and then convert it to ac you only get x-n power out which is what the power company will credit your account.
    3. You will have to pay for x+n again to get back to a full charge.
    4. Profit.

    Well I do feel that we are at that speed threshold. Mobile will drive down power so we are are already there. I am waiting for the next big jump. There is now reason why a Tegra II could not power the average desktop pc.
