I wish it had worked as well for me. My own fault I guess for ridding my bike too much.
When the ER doctor saw me X-Rays he freaked. Rushed to to get a Cat Scan and everything. His comment was that I just didn't look like my X-Rays. He said that I shouldn't have been sitting up much less walking around.
When I was a teen I hated my body as well. I played American football from the time I was 5 "They didn't do no stinking flag football back then" until I was 17.
Heck I played tackle football with out pads just for fun back them.
I am shocked that I still have OEM knees at this point in my life.

About two years ago I came down with pneumonia. I thought it was the flu and so did the doctor at the urgent care clinic. After two weeks when I didn't get better they took X-rays and found that I was really in bad shape. They sent me to the hospital but they didn't have "privileges" at the hospital so they had to send me to the ER. They gave me a DVD with my X-Rays. When I got there they didn't know what to do with the DVD!. Well since I didn't look that bad and my ekg was good I waited about 10 hours!
I was in the hospital for a week. Buy they time I got in they where wondering if I should go into ICU since one lung was completely shutdown and only had half of the other one working.
I have to wonder if they could have just popped in the DVD if I would have gotten in sooner.
Oh and I do have a real doctor. Since I have always been so healthy in the past when I tried to get in they told me it would be three weeks.
The poor guy felt so bad that he office now has standing orders that if I say I really need to get in that I get in.

The one thing that takes more speed than a five year old PC and that is digital video. HD-digital camcorders are now under $200. Transcoding video to put onto DVDs may become popular. If Blu Ray recordable disks become cheap then people may start making those at home.

But even that may not need a fast CPU. I think you will see more and more video work off loaded to the GPU.

Yea but then you will be stuck with only high end stuff. I would wait until the consumer I7 hits unless you are a hard core gamer.
But as I said I really am not all that interested in the highend. It is just really overkill right now. You can build a good X2 780G system for under $300 right now. Or less than you would spend for just an I7 CPU.
Core2s are still a little more expensive but your right they are still a good choice.

The Core I7 isn't all that future proof. Intel is going to bring out the consumer version of the I7 with guess what... A new Socket!
I think that the AM2+ socket will have a good life span. The AM2 sure did.
The thing really is though is that the Core2 and the X2 really are still "good enough". Most people really are not dieing for a faster PC.
The Atom is the right now the most interesting CPU around. I think AMD should produce a two core version of the PhenomII or a 45nm X2 cpu.
A very low power use AMD cpu combined with the 780G would be a great product right now.
The only reason that any QuadCore interests me right now is that I am addicted to FSX.

What I don't like about Android is that I am limited to Java. But I like Java a lot more than Javascript.
The iPhone offers I think objective C and maybe c++. It compiles to native code as well. That interests me more than even Java from a programing point of view.
I just hope they offer C or C++. Also what about legacy apps? Tell me they are not throwing away all those Palm apps that people love. Those old apps have been the only thing keeping Palm afloat.
