yes, one of the best xbox, maybe even THE BEST, title isn't available for PC:

    Ninja Gaiden

And i'm sure there are many more xbox exclusive titles.

    i agree with you 100%

i'm so happy that there are still other people in this world who think exactly like i do.

there are definietly not enough good old-school games these days. one doom-clone after another, i'm getting really tired of them.

the day i discovered Ikaruga on the dreamcast, it was like heaven.

    dreamcast rocks !

and my pc i use mainly to play old arcade games using MAME and my X-Arcade. mars matrix, giga wing... so many great games. and even if you've already finished them 100x, you can't resist playing them over and over again.

the game industry is almost like the movie industry. nothing but huge special effects, but no story, no atmosphere, no fun, nothing! they're all after the money.

just take the old star wars movies, compared to today's movies the special effects are crappy. But the effects of the new movies rock, but suddenly the story's gone... :(
so i guess that most of the people agree with me that the old ones are the best.

and it's really sad to see that it's almost the same in the gaming industry today.
of course there are some exceptions, but they're very rare.

and to finish i can only quote AtaruMoroboshi
"Special mention to the development teams at Sega, Treasure, Capcom, and Nintendo for making awesome, innovative games, at least now and then."!

    you're absolutely right.

and i also agree with most people that the graphics of the new gf4 outperforms any console on the market. so the only point that you got is that the PC games have better graphics, but what about the fun? Are the latest PC games actually really that good? Each company tries to prove that it can code the best graphics and that's it, nobody wants to invest time in good gameplay or a good story.

Just take Metal Gear Solid 2 for the PS2, this game rocks! Or GranTurismo3, wow do those graphics look awesome and the game is so much fun. And please remember that the hardware of the playstation2 is almost two and a half years old!

And people that want to play 1st person shooters with a mouse like on your PC, no problem. The PS2 got an USB connector and almost every FPS on the PS2 supports this.

I would suggest using the Obsidian Intranet package, there you got a base module that you install and then afterwards you can download packages like e-mail, file explorer, shared calendar and many others and install them.

It's licensed under GPL and written nearly completely in perl. It isn't completely project management system like, but you i guess that with a little bit of perl code here and there you'll be able to customize this system as you like it.

It's really worth giving it a try, it rules!

Greetings go out to Eddie for writing this great thing !

You can test it online on this adress http://demo.obsidian.co.za/ocs/

And here you go for the downloads

  10. SuSE = linux for dummies on SuSE larger than RedHat · · Score: 1

I think SuSE is far too easy, it's nearly like windows, you just have to click here and click there and that's it. You don't get any image of the backend of linux. I think the real linux "freaks" shouldn't use SuSE!

SuSE and the Mandrake distributions are the best distributions for beginners, people who like to get away from the dumb windows world and start with linux but don't have any base knowledge or don't know any background information about linux.

But if you're a real freak and like to experiment and "play" with your linux system, then forget SuSE!
