    These object are composed of ordinary every day matter so they interact with electromagnetic radiation. For instance, this particular object was detected by infrared radiation.

    Observation of the rest of the universe shows more gravitational interaction than electromagnetic interaction versus what you would expect from ordinary matter. "Dark Matter" and "Dark Energy" are proposed particle types that do not interact electromagnetically but to interact with other forces. Other proposals model the forces differently so that ordinary matter could produce the observed effects.

    The FDA said there have been no problems, but did NOT say the rule is not necessary. The risk exists, it just has not been realized yet; we've been lucky. That is a distinction that any other speaker of the English language would understand.

    The US uses $20 billion in livestock feed per year. 3 million tons of brewery waste is generated per year. If this is all spent grain sold as livestock feed at $30 per ton, that is $90 million, or 4.5% of the total feed expense.

    That does not mean that the price of feeding livestock will go up by 4.5%, that mean only 4.5% will change in price. On the other hand, I don't know off the top of my head what the margins on livestock are

    Making a small area a different color. For example, a transparent 1x1 plate on the side of a 1x1 block with a peg on the side is commonly used to model a headlight on a car.

    Your errors in parsing the date clause notwithstanding, which has been covered by others, the latter part of your comment is also off point: Clarke was not working from pictures of Iapetus. He completely made up his description, based on zero evidence, which just happened to turn out to me similar to the actual two-tone coloring. No monolith, though.

    Netflix is NOW a Comcast customer, as they are now directly connected to Comcast and Comcast is directly providing services to Netflix.. Previously they were connecting to Comcast through a separate ISP and paying that ISP. Now they are connecting directly to Comcast and paying for that portion of their traffic that has been moved to Comcast away from the other ISP.

    There is a bug where memory is used after being freed which is hidden by the custom nonclearing LIFO freelist, i.e. you could realloc and get your record back. If you tried to use a normal malloc it would fail. Clearing memory exposes others bugs so no one was willing to clear memory.

    It was slow on some architectures, at the time, so they worked around it on all architectures permanently. Thus the subverted the OSS benefit on 'many eyeballs" and did so ON SECURITY SOFTWARE.

    The SSA used a private contractor to make sure all parties were correctly notified about the debt before seizure proceedings were started, which would have allowed incorrect claims to be dropped. Of course, the private contractor screwed that up.

    if you are saying specifically that the drone license is needed, then requiring a license that doesn't exist yet is indistinguishable prohibiting the licensed activity.

    If you are saying that some pilot license is needed and there will be a drone specific license coming, then there is no reason to block Gene Robinson's activity because is is already a licensed pilot .
