    Just be careful. These are only allegations, and one should take any claims that Air Canada makes about WestJet with a couple of grains of salt. They have a huge WestJet complex. Not that I'm saying that this kind of thing couldn't happen.

    Hmm... Let's see.
    Episodes IV, V, and VI were released at three year intervals in May. Episode I released May 1999... Episode II released May 2002. Is anyone surprised that Episode III is being released May 2005?

    Listing reasonable browser requirements and all (IE 5.5+, Firefox 0.8+, etc with Javascript and cookies enabled, bla bla).

    As if a site would include Firefox in the supported browsers. It must be a hoax!

    Before I go further on my disorganised rant, a graphical easy to use installer that detected everything and booted me into KDM/X with KDE (I use enlightenment and gtk apps) would do nobody in Debian's core audience any good whatsoever and probably only alienate them further.

    That all depends on your perception of who Debian's core and/or target audience is. I don't think that Debian's core audience is composed of masochists who enjoy running dselect for kicks. Making Debian easier to use could easily attract more people which would make the Debian project a greater success. I personally support Debian because of their policies; I feel truly free using it.

    When you hear someone declare "X is dead" it usually means they have a vested interest in X actually dying, and wish to further that belief.

    I think a lot of people would like to see X die.

    C# is fine for many programs, but just TRY to implement a network protocol using it!

    The managed SQL Server provider for Mono has its protocol implemented in C#. Or is that not what you meant.

    My point was that because of the way mh works, you don't need file locking. File locking rarely works like you expect it to anyway.

    We posted almost exactly the same comment.

    I use mh as well as sylpheed-claws. Any graphical client I use at home has to support mh-style folders, because I often read mail remotely via ssh.

    I used to use mutt, but I found that between it and the graphical application I was using, they kept stepping on each others toes. With mh, there are no lock files and no toes to step on.
