    MIDP for Palm is supported.

    It's not as versatile as PersonalJava (which is now called CDC/Personal Profile), but because it's put in a lot of mobiles (and more to come), it's interesting nevertheless.

    Mature means "no bugs" here. When are you sure your software has no bugs? Practice says you never can.

    So you trade a small speed decrease for a security nightmare.

    Give me an OS with bounds checking. If I want a faster OS, I'll buy a new, faster CPU.

    I once saw a very interesting documentary about these cells. At one time other countries discovered self-multiplying cells. It turned out these cells were from Henrietta Lacks too.

    And to turn it off, you have to get into the BIOS. Most users don't even know what a BIOS is and are scared when they see it the first time.

    Can you imagine getting a popup every day: "Do you want to install Compuserve?".

    Now it's the BIOS, tomorrow the ethernetcard, soundcard, videocard? All fighting to install software on your PC?

    And the fact you need Windows 98?? The feature could be cool, but only to fix a crashed OS. When your PC is booted, you just don't need the BIOS.
