    - Hardware has got more stable and reliable.
    - Software has got alot easier to manage, mostly automated and alot more stable 24/7.
    - Anyone can do it.

    - Mom shows the child the screen that says "buy" and explains that you need to ask mommy 1st.
    - Mom disables all Google Play purchases without a password prompt. Doing their bit to ensure their child cant rack up $$$ of purchases.

    - Child learns some discipline and basic understand of money.
    - Mom takes some responsibility for her child and their actions.

WoW was repetitive in the beginning.

It was hard and required some skill. Thats what made it enjoyable.

And they've added a ton of innovative options for quests like vehicle modes, story modes, and more.

All to slow the progression of the game down, essentially making you subscribe for longer.
Instances now require you to wait for "storyline" triggers, even if you have played them 100 times over.

Obviously you've believed the rants, but you know what? Harder is not better, and the game is worth playing.

I left WoW a few years back for the sole reason it was "too easy, too casual" and the ingame gear rewards meant nothing as anyone can achieve them if they have time.

I'd love to see the current player base try the original ragnaros as level 60's in vanilla. Its hard yes, but so much more rewarding when you win.

In regards to the Quake Live changes.
Its simply a case of trying to merge gamers from the "easy game that lasts 4 hours and tells you how to play with cutscenes" console background into the PC "Rewarding you for mastering a game using your own initiative" market.
I can see why they are doing it, just a shame they have to numb the game down that fucking much to accommodate the ADHD community of console gamers.

Unfortunately, this is the way it is now, and has been for some time.
CPU's are getting faster, programs are getting slower. In essence its pointless to make new programs when previous programs can do it more efficiently with alot more stability.

Goes without saying, bad code using a substandard programming language is now the "accepted" way to program. Its an insult to the last 20+ years of "good" programming if you ask me.

So they can optimize the OS for the Pi now, but 10 years down the line when the kids have grown up, its all for nothing.

And yes, i do agree with you, the Pi isnt slow. We are spoilt with high performance CPUs and choose to run programs made in Java/Python by amateurs who tell you that a i7 is needed.
We live in a world where simple and slow programming languages are the choice, instead of C++ and a little care and attention to whats being made.
