that is the most inhumane thing i've ever heard..
if thats what goes on in the minds of the RH people, that makes me even more sure to stay away
    from them.

besides from that fact, the littel critters are cute, just look at their pics. :)
i'm not a millionaire guy that got in on the IPO's but i'm pretty sure i'll make a donation. :)

*nods* I've heard that win2k is alot more stable than the old versions, but the one big disadvantage i heard is that it won't play aloy of your prescious old Windoz game.... So why should windoz users have a reason to stay with windoz if some of their games won't work in windoz(thats pretty much teh only reason alot of users stay with windoz), they might as well stick with their curren version or WINE really gets to kicking ass & they can just switch to Linux & play all of their windoz games there. :)

Check Linux Magazine #1 where they benchmark Samba, Linux kicks NT's ass. :)

Sorry about the last message, i thought you were saying the FSF holds the copyright for all code licensed under teh GPL. :)

  6. Re:Some reminders about the GPL on Linux to be Official OS of People's Republic of China · · Score: 1

*ANNNNNNNNT* Wrong Again! FSF does not hold teh copyright for all of the software released under the GPL, they merely provide the license for people that write the code to stick on their programs. The Linux Kernel however has many licenses in it from all of the people that hacked on the kernel which makes it impossible for it to one day turn into an OS that they can charge you for. However, if /all/ of the guys that hold a copyright on the Linux Kernel agreed to change the license & charge you, they can do that. (thats not gonna bloody happen though, way too many people hold a copyright for it).
And the FSF will not press charges themself on a copyrigh issue of a program, unless the FSF in its entity holds the copyright on whatever program we're dealing with. Whoever holds the copyright on the code is responsible for enforcing the GPL they license on their program.
    Ok, thats enough.

Bleh! Slashdot needs to throw a free-beer party in Texas!
And don't even consider Houston, pick Dallas. Thats where everything in Texas is afterall, either that or fortworth (hey we got a great sundance square & a great place to throw a party like this with a bar called the flying saucer right by it.)
Either that or rent out the Track, like Rockfest '97 & throw a SlashFest '99! Have free-beer, lots of bands, etc... But of course, charge money at the door or you'll go flat broke, us Texans love our beer! (Hey pitch in some Vodka while your at it!)

just a note, EasyLinux maybe easy, but there own code is closed & they don't alwasy send you the souce for everything else, you have to request it. EasyLinux is pretty much an OS for a guy that is brand spank'n new to Linux straight from Windoz.
