That should be at least as much a worry for SCO, though. As numerous people have pointed out, RedHat has a lot more cash than SCO does, and their basic business is burning through that cash a lot more slowly, so that if the lawsuit comes down to being a battle of attrition than RedHat is likely to win.

I think this holds true unless M$ leaps in with another handfull of $$$.

And I think that this is right. Nobody should be allowed to possess or carry a weapon without proving the necessity.
If this would be law all over the world, the world would be a nicer place to live.

The warranty period in Germany is NOT 3 Years but since 2003 it is 2 years. In the first half year the merchant has to prove that the good was ok at time of sale and any failure within this half year was due to misuse by the buyer.

BTW this applies to whole EU because the german laws were harmonized with EU Laws.

If they do it as business it's not fraud but the normal thing. If you do business you have to pay VAT . At least in Germany.

If I should pay even 1 ct, I don't accept any spam from the service provider. The only messages I would accept must relate to the service itself and must be opt-in.

There is a simple way to reduce your daily load of spam. It requires a little interaction from time to time but it should work. All you need is mailclient which is able to filter by headers.
Kmail since 3.0 from KDE is an example. You can set filters which work on the POP3 server.

Furthermore you don't need to migrate every two to three years on the command from Redmont. 800k$ pa are a lot of money for keeping the systems up to date. Remember: for the update you pay only the internet traffic.

Memory leaks, zombie processes, kernel panic, other strange events... I wouldn't claim more than a month on average...

Linux Servers are running without reboot for years. If a Process has a memory leak, just kill this process and reboot. That's it.
This also holds true for Linux desktops.

Rebooting is for changing hardware or Kernel release.

If you spend some 5000$ you can easily get access to a simulator for every major plane type. Most Airlines in the world who operate them do offer it. That are those types of simulators which are used by the airlines to practice behavior in extraordinary situations which can not be practiced with real planes. For the navigational training it is sufficient to get the education for PPL.
The final approach you can practice on MS-FS with a very realistic cockpit of the used planes.
