    It was a coin toss where the coin landed on the third side, the edge. We really don't know who actually won Florida, it depends on how you count 'em. The rules in place made Bush the winner. Some people just can't deal with it.

    Monitors only go to 3rd world contries when asked by the host countries. It's a way of demonstrating to the world their legitamacy.

    The US has no need to do this. 2000 was an anomoly where the results were so close that the differential was within the margin of error.

    The rules in place, ie the Constitution, mandated that Bush win the election. The Sore/Losermen were full of sour grapes and cried foul.

Radical Muslim Arabs are a blight upon humanity and are determined to kill as many innocent people as possible. Look at what the Arabs did in Russia, shooting kids in the back and blowing them up.

    Because as it has become apparent, it certainly had nothing to do with weapons of mass destruction, nor with 'liberating' the Iraqi people. Or if it did, it was executed so incompetently that claiming an ulterior motive is almost charitable.

    You do realize that in the real world not everything is wrapped up in 30 minutes with a happy ending? Nobody knows how Iraq will turn out, however calling it a failure as the first free election in the craddle of civilization is about to occur this January seems a bit short sighted.

    If you're really an attorney you should know better than to be providing legal advice on a subject as serious as self defense when you don't know what you're talking about.

    While there may be a common law standard that applies in jurisdictions without relevant statutes, most states do have very specific laws concerning this matter. My state, Texas, specificaly allows the use of lethal force:

    Texas Penal code S9.32
    "A person is justified in using deadly force against another to protect land or tangible, movable property"

    So please keep your unimformed legal musings to yourself.
