  1. Update. on Banned From WoW For WINE & Programmable Keyboard · · Score: 1

  2. Re:Anonymous? on Banned From WoW For WINE & Programmable Keyboard · · Score: 5, Informative

I did not submit this anonymously myself; I submitted under my own account a week or two ago. I guess someone else resubmitted it.

And just a minor remark here to people who claim I was botting. Please, go look up some botting software.

    1) They virtually all need MS .Net framework - in other words, botting software doesnt work on WINE.
    2) Botting software runs around, taps mobs, kills them, loots them and repeats this process. I didnt. I did not loot, move, nor change target. Anyone with a WoW account can run to Thousand Needles, find a Windchaser creature, get a lowest level weapon and hit it indefinately, provided that you are a healing class.

Anyway, I mentioned this, but I can understand why people who quickly read would miss it.

You can't export the fullscreen version in Quicktime Player.. it's not just a movie file, it has a nice interface with functions in it too.

perhaps there's a ripping tool which can take the movie data out?

  9. The FULLSCREEN version is UP (and it's DIFFERENT!) on Lord of the Rings Theatrical Trailer · · Score: 2, Informative

The 480x204 version i grabbed from Morpheus starts with the golden ring and a lot of fire. It's nothing more than a quicktime movie.

The fullscreen version starts with a storyteller while viewing a horse and wagon walking on a bridge. It's 2:51 long and has a nice progress bar (some Quicktime feature I think).

I think the 480x204 version is some other (older?) trailer, but one thing is for sure:

The FULLSCREEN version and the 480x204 version on my mirror http://lotr.infernix.net/ are DIFFERENT!

And I like the fullscreen one a whole lot better, so you better get 'em both :)

I think it is, yes :)

It don't matter though. I'm pleased enough to see it used to its fullest extent for a little while :)

It's a Debian box with a Cyclades PC300 card in it (e.g., hooked up to the E1 2MBit line directly). I tweaked apache a bit to cope with the users, so it should be fine for a while.

    Thanks /.ers :)

I mirrored the Large version (480x204), it's 18MB. If I find the fullscreen version I'll put it up there too. Grab it here:

I repeat: PLEASE SATURATE THIS LINK.

It's our (yet) unused new uplink and I'd like to stress-test it.

Tired of terrorism? Tired of terrorism?!? Excuse me?? How much terrorism has the USA suffered in comparisation to any random country in the Middle-East?

What bothers me most in this entire situation is the pure speculation all the media is making. There are barely any facts yet. And most all you Americans just take it all for granted. In fact, if the CIA and FBI were to find out that it wasn't Bin Laden after all, they might still uphold the show, because Americans need a scapegoat. They wouldn't know how to handle their emotions (both real and media-hyped-fake ones) if they cannot 'retalliate'.

And let me not speak of the media show your President and his wife are doing now. That is just so transparent.

Although we (as in all hardware geeks) know that the Duron is much faster, I'm sure that the Celeron 800 will still be sold very well. The same goes for the Pentium 4, even though it's clear that the Thunderbird is faster and cheaper on most points.

Why you ask? Simple. Ask 100 random people what the difference is between Intel and AMD and the majority won't even know what AMD is.
