    Every now & again we get another "leaked" memo/whatever from AOL hinting that they're going to drop IE.

    And every time, AOL are just about to go into negotiation with Microsoft & want a bargaining chip to reduce licensing costs.

    "as in 'Leaves' which 'Fall' from 'Trees'" Loser. Try to think outside of you're own little world. In my town (Australia) we have few trees that drop their leaves in Autumn. Most are just as likely to drop them at any other time of year. Just because Americans kept the English Middle Ages Shakespearian term "Fall" doesn't mean the rest of us have to.

    You're wrong basically, what your saying is that people selling GNU/Linux will not make as _much_ money as those selling proprietry operating systems that cannot be given away for free.

    They just have to make a profit margin. That is the _point_ of capitalism, to have companies competing give the consumers the best, cheapest option.

    OK. Firstly, visit http://www.computerbank.org.au Secondly, it is no more difficult to train someone with no preconceptions to use GNU/Linux + gnome then any other operating system. Thirdly, the skills they learn can be applied to _any_ operating system. Computerbank centres across Australia are doing it as you sleep :)
